Aristocrat Gaming has installed the gaming industry’s first $5 million linked progressive slot machines at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, introducing two separate progressive jackpots that each begin at $5 million.
The installation marks the latest expansion of the resort’s newly remodeled high-limit gaming room.
Two $5 million jackpots debut in remodeled high-limit room
The debut features four machines across two linked progressives. Two Dragon Link machines share one $5 million starting jackpot, while a Phoenix Link machine and a Lightning 10 Year Storm machine share a second $5 million progressive.
“This is a milestone moment not just for Aristocrat Gaming, but for the entire gaming industry,” Aristocrat Gaming CEO Craig Toner said in a statement.
“Players have been asking for bigger stakes and bigger possibilities, and these $5 million links deliver exactly that. We’re proud to debut them with a partner as forward-thinking as The Cosmopolitan.”
The progressive jackpot slots are located inside The Cosmopolitan’s newly renovated high-limit room, combining some of Aristocrat’s most recognizable slot franchises with the resort’s upgraded luxury gaming space. According to the companies, the installation is designed to offer premium players access to larger linked jackpots than previously available.
“The addition of Aristocrat’s $5 million links elevates our gaming floor, offering guests a premier and high-energy playing experience,” Mike Gatten, The Cosmopolitan’s senior vice president of casino operations, said in an Aristocrat Gaming news release.
The launch highlights Aristocrat Gaming’s continued focus on premium land-based slot products while reinforcing The Cosmopolitan’s investment in high-limit gaming experiences.

Progressive jackpots remain a major draw for casino players
The launch of Aristocrat Gaming’s $5 million linked progressives comes as massive jackpot payouts continue making headlines at both retail and real-money online casinos.
Earlier this month, two guests at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas won a combined $3 million, including a $2.2 million Ultimate Texas Hold’em progressive jackpot and a $764,000 Buffalo Diamond Extreme slot jackpot. California has also seen significant retail casino wins, including a recent $447,000 progressive jackpot at Cache Creek Casino Resort.
Online casino progressives continue to climb as operators introduce larger pooled jackpots. The Mega Jackpot at Hard Rock Bet Casino, for example, recently grew to nearly $1 million before being won, illustrating the growing appeal of life-changing progressive prizes across both brick-and-mortar and online gaming.
