Caesars Entertainment has launched its first branded live-dealer studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, through a partnership with Evolution.

Jacob Claesson, Chief Executive Officer at Evolution North America, said in a press statement that:

Evolution is excited to take our partnership to the next level by providing a unique live dealer studio dedicated to the Caesars brand in our Philadelphia headquarters.

“By combining our cutting-edge technology with the unmistakable Caesars brand, this dedicated studio will deliver the elegance and thrill of Caesars Palace to online players in Pennsylvania. The new studio is truly stunning and showcases the incredible potential of live dealer casino gaming. We are extremely happy and proud to support Caesars in their efforts to elevate their player experience and continue to raise the bar for online casino entertainment.”

What should Pennsylvanians expect from the new studio?

Typically, the offerings of this new studio are going to be made available to customers who utilize the Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe Online Casino, and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino.

The new online casino live dealer studio will feature

  • Five blackjack tables
  • One roulette table
  • One baccarat table
  • One VIP-exclusive blackjack table

The casino’s new live dealer studio has the potential to offer an even larger spectrum of games in the future. For now, players can enjoy a gaming experience on their mobile devices as a result of the studio’s mobile-friendly design.

One of the standout features of the new studio is the ability for players to interact with their dealers in real time. This adds a social element to the game, making it feel more like a traditional casino experience.

Matt Sunderland, Senior Vice President and Chief iGaming Officer at Caesars Digital commented on the launch in the press release.

Creating a fully customized live dealer studio with our partners at Evolution has heightened the user experience on our online casino platforms by providing a Las Vegas Strip-style experience directly in the palm of our players’ hands.

“We’ve taken inspiration from the iconic designs at Caesars Palace to complete this world-class studio in Pennsylvania, from the legendary Julius Caesar statue down to flooring patterns and wall coverings at the destination. The result is an aesthetically unmatched live dealer experience that pays homage to our renowned brand.”

Are bespoke live dealer studios coming back in fashion?

The question of whether or not there is a need to invest in bespoke studios is totally up to operators to decide. For some, the cost may be prohibitive, while others see the customized branding as a necessary stepping stone to business success.

Caesars is obviously banking on the latter. For a time, that seemed to be the trend in the industry. However, in November of last year, DraftKings shut down its live dealer studio in New Jersey, leading PlayUSA to speculate whether the bespoke studio idea had had its day.

Although the live dealer casino studio in Atlantic City has closed its doors, DraftKings will continue to offer live dealer games to its customers. Instead of hosting the games itself, the company will now source them from a third-party provider.

Caesars, on the other hand, is hell-bent on creating a brand identity across its online offerings, which it has done by bringing custom-branded slots such as Caesars Cleopatra. The company has also developed exclusive slots like Monopoly Millionaire, Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin, and Wizard of Oz, all of which are designed to evoke the classic casino experience.

For Caesars, whether this approach will pay off remains to be seen, but it is clear that they are committed to creating a distinctive brand experience that sets it apart from the competition. And its competition in the Keystone State could be FanDuel, which still has its bespoke studio open in the state.
