State of Play’s TL;DR

  • DraftKings is simplifying how customers view and use rewards across its gaming ecosystem with the launch of Crown Cash, a new currency tied to DraftKings Rewards.
  • According to the company, the goal is to make redemption more straightforward by displaying rewards in dollar terms rather than a less transparent points-style format.

DraftKings has introduced Crown Cash, a new rewards currency that shows value in dollars and can be used across eligible products, including DraftKings Sportsbook, DraftKings Casino, DraftKings Daily Fantasy Sports, Jackpocket, and Golden Nugget Online Gaming.

The update also comes with a broader refresh of the operator’s loyalty program.

Crown Cash will be available on DraftKings Predictions, company says

DraftKings said customers can use Crown Cash to place eligible wagers and take part in other experiences across the platforms.

The company also said the currency is expected to expand to DraftKings Predictions and other offerings. No timeline for that expansion was provided.

DraftKings Chief Customer Officer Shawn Henley said the changes are meant to improve visibility and flexibility for players.

“DraftKings Rewards and Crown Cash make it easier for customers to see and use the rewards they’ve earned across our platforms, bringing greater consistency and connection across DraftKings.”

Loyalty refresh adds new player perks

Alongside Crown Cash, DraftKings said it revamped the wider DraftKings Rewards program. New benefits include Casino Weekly Bonus Back, Birthday Bonus, and Crown Cash Boosts.

Henley said the company is aiming to pair redemption with more personalized incentives.

“By pairing flexibility with personalized benefits and unforgettable experiences, we’re delivering a loyalty program that recognizes customers in meaningful ways.”

The launch fits into DraftKings’ broader push to connect its sportsbook, casino, and adjacent products inside a unified platform.

CEO Jason Robins said on the company’s latest earnings call that DraftKings’ core business grew across handle, users, and engagement.

“Our super app is now live nationwide, and Predictions is already growing faster than we anticipated.”
