The most important date to know is Dec. 1. At 12:01 a.m., sportsbooks will be live, and anyone who has opened an account and made a deposit should be able to place a wager.
The second key date has already passed: Nov. 17. On that day, sportsbooks with temporary licenses were allowed to offer new accounts and receive deposits. Because of that, you can find a sportsbook you like, open an account, and make a deposit ahead of the Dec. 1 launch. However, you cannot place any wagers before launch day.
Once you’ve identified a sportsbook — or multiple sportsbooks — be prepared to turn on your phone’s location services. Verification requires confirming you are physically in Missouri when you sign up. During the sign-up process, you’ll need to provide personal information to validate your identity and age, as well as banking information for deposits and withdrawals.
Once your account is validated, you can make a deposit. Remember that you may have to select any promotions you want to enroll in at the time of deposit.
Top Missouri betting promos to claim before launch day
Based on documents from the Missouri Gaming Commission, the following operators are likely — but not guaranteed — to take wagers on launch day:
- bet365
- BetMGM
- Caesars Sportsbook
- Circa Sports
- DraftKings
- Fanatics Sportsbook
- FanDuel
- Kambi (unclear how this will be offered)
- Penn Sports Interactive
- Underdog
Each sportsbook will offer promotions in Missouri that typically fall into one of three categories:
- Deposit matches: The sportsbook deposits bonus bets into your account, matching, up to a certain amount, your initial deposit.
- “No-sweat” first bets: If your first bet loses, the sportsbook deposits bonus bets equal to what you wagered.
- Bonus bets: The sportsbook deposits bonus bets that exceed what you deposited or wagered. For example: deposit $5 and get $150 in bonus bets, or $150 in bonus bets if your first wager of at least $5 wins.

Terms, opt-ins and requirements for Missouri bonus offers
In many cases, your Missouri sports betting promos come with requirements. A common one is that first-bet promotions require odds of at least -500 to qualify. You also typically must opt-in to offers, so watch for them when you make your first deposit. If you forget to enroll in a bonus bet or bet protection offer, you likely won’t be eligible.
