Hollywood Casino is making a habit of this.

A Michigan customer turned a $1.06 bet into more than $3.65 million on Sunday, hitting the DropZone progressive jackpot while playing Bao Zhu Fu Red, an Aristocrat slot.

Hollywood Casino Michigan said the jackpot is the third-largest in Michigan online casino history and the fifth-largest in US online casino history.

It’s the second time in 35 days DropZone has paid seven figures.

On Aug. 30, a Pennsylvania player hit for $4,365,327 on a $5.10 bet. That one was the largest confirmed jackpot a Pennsylvania online casino had ever produced.

Two of the five biggest jackpots US online casinos have ever paid. Both from Hollywood Casino. Both inside a little over a month.

Where the $3.65M ranks among US online casino jackpots

DraftKings Online Casino still owns the top of the national list, and Michigan owns DraftKings’ top two. A Michigan player won $22.4 million on a 20-cent spin in November 2025, nine months after another Michigan player won $9.28 million, also on a 20-cent wager.

When the Pennsylvania DropZone jackpot hit, PlayUSA’s record book had it fourth on the national all-time list. Sunday’s lands one spot behind it.

Add the two together and DropZone has paid out more than $8 million in five weeks.

Smaller jackpot, bigger return

Here’s the part that jumps off the page.

The Pennsylvania winner’s nearly $4.4 million win came out to about 856,000 times the $5.10 stake. The Michigan winner’s $3.65 million is more than 3.4 million times a $1.06 stake.

So the smaller jackpot paid roughly four times as much per dollar wagered.

That’s how a pooled progressive works. DropZone isn’t built by the spin that hits it. It’s built by every opted-in player across Hollywood Casino’s catalog, and it lands on whoever happens to be spinning when it drops.

Sometimes that’s a $5 spin. Sometimes it’s a buck and change.

Where Hollywood Casino is live

Hollywood Casino operates in four states: Michigan, New Jersey online casino, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia online casino. In Michigan, it runs as a standalone app and inside the theScore Bet Sportsbook app.

DropZone is opt-in. Players in eligible states have to choose to play for it, and only games marked with the DropZone logo on the game tile count.

DraftKings still has the biggest number in the business by a mile.

But Hollywood Casino now has two of the top five, five weeks apart, and the second one cost $1.06. Once is a headline. Twice is a trend.
