Despite its broad game selection, Mohegan has struggled to break into the top tier of the PA online casino market, generating under $2.2 million in October amid a record-breaking $251 million in total online casino revenue for the state.

Dominant operators like BetMGM Casino and DraftKings Casino currently lead the market, supported by extensive marketing efforts and robust player networks. To differentiate itself, Mohegan Digital has established a partnership with the Philadelphia Flyers, leveraging the team’s strong local following to enhance brand visibility.

Partnership includes in-game promos, fan-engagement features

The partnership offers prominent exposure for Mohegan Online Casino during Flyers games at Xfinity Live! Mobile Arena, featuring in-game promotions and fan engagement activations, including on-ice contests.

The collaboration also extends across Flyers broadcasts and social media, integrating Mohegan branding to reach a broader audience throughout the state. Unique features, such as “Rink Roulette” ice projection during select games, aim to blend live sports excitement with digital gaming engagement.

This strategy targets both hockey fans and prospective online casino players, hoping to drive increased traffic and revenue in a highly competitive market.

As Pennsylvania’s iGaming market continues to grow rapidly, Mohegan Digital’s innovative sports-related marketing approach represents a notable effort to gain market share.
