The Iron Throne has a new address.

Four of them, actually.

Game of Thrones, Blueprint Gaming’s licensed slot, launched Tuesday at BetMGM Casino and Borgata Online. BetMGM said the game is exclusive to its two brands in the US.

So if your real-money slots account lives somewhere else, don’t go looking for it in your lobby.

Where can I play the Game of Thrones slot?

BetMGM Casino has it in all four of its real-money online casino states: New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Borgata Online, BetMGM’s sister brand, has it in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

You need to be 21 or older and physically located in one of those states to play. Living there isn’t required. Being there is.

How the Game of Thrones slot plays

The goal is the Iron Throne. Getting there is a climb.

The game runs on six reels with 4,096 ways to win. Its core mechanic is a Money Collect feature that evolves as you unlock powers tied to House Stark, House Lannister, House Baratheon and House Targaryen. Dragons drop in along the way with modifiers.

Progress carries over between sessions. As in, log off halfway up and you pick up right where you left off.

Three or more Bonus symbols trigger the Iron Throne Bonus, which awards 10 Iron Throne Spins plus potential cash prizes. Reach the throne, and the climb starts over from the bottom.

What are the Game of Thrones jackpots?

Four fixed jackpots sit on top of the base game:

  • Mini: 20x
  • Minor: 50x
  • Major: 200x
  • Mega: 2,500x

The launch release did not list an RTP, so check the game’s help screen before your first spin.

Why Canadian players got it first

BetMGM debuted Game of Thrones in Ontario in April, then brought it to Alberta in early August, a few weeks after that province’s regulated online casino market opened July 13.

BetMGM said the Ontario launch set records across several metrics and that the game has become one of its top performers in Alberta. It also cited Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, which ranked Game of Thrones fifth among Canada’s top-performing new online casino game launches.

Translation: US players are getting a game that already has a track record, not a first draft.

Game of Thrones launch promos at BetMGM and Borgata

BetMGM Casino is marking the launch with bonus spin offers, sweepstakes, leaderboard competitions and daily prizes. The biggest is a $25,000 leaderboard running Oct. 5 through Oct. 11. Borgata Online said it’s awarding up to 10 million Bonus Spins to celebrate the game’s arrival.

Read the full terms and conditions before opting in; eligible games, wagering requirements and expiration windows are where the real value of an offer gets decided. Casinos adjust launch offers like these as they roll out, and this reflects what BetMGM had published as of Sept. 30.

In Westeros, nobody holds the throne for long.

In this game, that’s by design.
