Pennsylvania’s biggest online casino jackpot just became the fourth-biggest in US history.
A Hollywood Casino customer turned a $5.10 bet into $4,365,327 on Aug. 30, the largest single payout in company history. It’s also comfortably the largest confirmed jackpot a Pennsylvania online casino has ever produced, and it now ranks fourth on the national all-time list, according to PlayUSA’s own record book of confirmed seven-figure online casino jackpots.
The money came from DropZone, Hollywood Casino’s progressive jackpot pool, hit while the customer played Rome Fight for Gold: The Tiger’s Rage, a Games Global title. Players opt into DropZone for a small add-on per spin and a random shot at one of four pooled prizes across the operator’s entire game catalog.
Legal real-money online casinos are in seven states total, plus Maine, which legalized online casino gaming effective July 29, 2026, but has not launched real-money play yet.

Michigan still holds the two biggest jackpots on record, both from DraftKings Online Casino.
BetMGM Online Casino had a $6.45 million New Jersey win from August 2024 holds third place.
Hollywood Casino’s Pennsylvania jackpot slots in just behind that trio, and comfortably ahead of everything else.
Nearly double the old Pennsylvania mark, and more than 50% bigger than the $2.95 million Hard Rock Bet Casino paid a New Jersey player just over two weeks earlier.
State-sealed pools and more spins drive growth
Each of those numbers comes out of a separate, state-sealed pool. New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania all require the servers and equipment behind online casino games to sit inside state lines.
No operator has ever linked an online casino jackpot across state borders, so a Michigan jackpot and a Pennsylvania jackpot are never actually competing, just growing inside their own increasingly busy markets.
That’s the real driver. More operators are running opt-in, pooled jackpots across their entire online slots libraries instead of tying a prize to one game, which means more spins feeding each pool and a higher ceiling every time one resets.
Hollywood Casino runs DropZone in Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia. The contribution is a fixed 10 cents a spin in Pennsylvania and a player’s choice of four tiers in the other three states.
A year ago, a $4.36 million jackpot would have been the biggest number this industry had ever produced. Today, it’s good for fourth place.
