A player at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, CA, won $122,395 on a single 50-cent spin on an NFL Touchdown slot machine, according to the casino.
The Sacramento-area property announced the six-figure payout in a news release.
Thunder Valley is about 35 miles northeast of Sacramento and operates 3,500 slot machines and 89 table games.
Six-figure win on a low-denomination spin
The winning wager was just 50 cents, making the payout notable even by slot jackpot standards. The casino did not identify the player, and the source did not say when the jackpot was hit or whether the machine was tied to a progressive prize.
Thunder Valley General Manager Dawn Clayton said:
“There’s nothing quite like the excitement that comes with the start of football season.”
Clayton added that the casino was “thrilled for this guest on their big win, an incredible way to kick off the season.”
Thunder Valley said it has paid out more than 251,000 jackpots over the past year. By the casino’s count, that works out to nearly 700 jackpots per day, or about one every two minutes.
