New Jersey had barely processed one nearly $2 million jackpot before Hard Rock Bet produced another.
Less than four weeks after the platform crowned its first Mega Jackpot millionaire in the Garden State, a second player claimed a prize of almost the same size. On June 4, a Trenton resident turned a $2 spin into a $1,937,382.05 payout.
The two wins occurred just 24 days apart and were separated by less than $5,000, a rare outcome even in one of the nation’s most mature online casino markets.
A $2.20 online slot spin delivers a $1.94 million payday
The winning spin occurred at 6:23 p.m. while the player was playing Hot Rod Hog, a slot developed by Atomic Slot Lab. The player wagered $2 and added Hard Rock Bet’s optional $0.20 jackpot contribution, bringing the total stake to $2.20.
That spin triggered the Mega Jackpot, awarding $1,937,382.05.
Hot Rod Hog is a biker-themed real-money online slot featuring 10x wild multipliers and a maximum advertised win potential of 10,038x. The jackpot did not come from the game’s built-in features. Instead, it was awarded through Hard Rock Bet’s proprietary progressive jackpot network, which spans thousands of eligible online slot titles across New Jersey.
Hard Rock Bet’s first Mega Jackpot winner in NJ
The June 4 payout followed another headline-grabbing win less than a month earlier.
On May 11, Deborah S. of South Plainfield became the first Mega Jackpot winner on Hard Rock Bet in New Jersey. While playing Bag the Swag: Hold & Win by Octoplay, she won $1,942,272.47 on a $1.20 spin just minutes into her session.
At the time, it was the largest jackpot ever awarded by Hard Rock Bet.
Following that win, the Mega Jackpot reset to its $100,000 seed value and immediately began rebuilding. Contributions from thousands of opted-in spins pushed the prize pool back to nearly $2 million within weeks before the Trenton player claimed it on June 4.
According to a news post by PlayNJ, Rich Criado, vice president of casino at Hard Rock Digital, said the second major win reflects growing engagement with the jackpot network.
“A second winner of the Mega Jackpot in a month speaks to the momentum behind Hard Rock Bet jackpots. We are delighted for our winner and eager to keep delivering these unforgettable moments for our players,” Criado said.
The June 4 payout fell just $4,890 short of Deborah S.’s record-setting win, but it still ranks among the largest online slot jackpots awarded in New Jersey.
How Hard Rock Bet’s progressive jackpot network works
Hard Rock Bet launched its progressive jackpot system in New Jersey in April, seeding the Mega tier at $100,000.
