Two visitors to The Venetian Resort Las Vegas turned relatively small wagers into life-changing payouts during the same week, collecting a combined $3,000,017 in jackpot winnings, according to the resort.

The largest prize went to Los Angeles visitor George Lee, who won $2,235,550 while playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em on July 12 after hitting a rare royal flush.

Royal Flush triggers The Venetian’s Millionaire Progressive

Lee qualified for The Venetian’s Millionaire Progressive by placing the required $5 side bet before being dealt a spade royal flush, activating the jackpot’s Mega tier. The linked progressive slot is available on several table games, including:

  • Ultimate Texas Hold’em
  • Three Card Poker
  • Crazy 4 Poker
  • Mississippi Stud

The Millionaire Progressive debuted in 2018 and resets to $1 million after each Mega jackpot is awarded before growing again through qualifying side bets. According to The Venetian, Lee’s win is one of the property’s latest multimillion-dollar table-game payouts.

$35 bet pays nearly $765,000 on Aristocrat slot game

According to Fox5Vegas news, just days earlier, another guest, who chose to remain anonymous, won $764,467 while playing Buffalo Diamond Extreme by Aristocrat Gaming.

The player wagered $35 and triggered the game’s progressive jackpot through the bonus wheel feature, giving The Venetian two seven-figure-plus jackpot stories within the same week when combined with Lee’s table-game win. Resort officials said the two payouts totaled $3,000,017

Venetian continues streak of big jackpot winners

Back-to-back jackpot wins of this magnitude are uncommon, even on the Las Vegas Strip. The Venetian has regularly produced million-dollar winners through both its progressive slot machines and table-game jackpots.

In November 2025, another Ultimate Texas Hold’em player won $3,845,727, which the resort said was the largest table-games jackpot in its history at the time.

Progressive jackpots gain momentum at online casinos

The Venetian’s recent jackpot wins reflect a broader casino trend: progressive jackpots are becoming increasingly popular across both physical and real-money online casinos. Digital casino operators are expanding jackpot networks that allow players to compete for larger prizes from their phones or computers.

Recent Hard Rock Bet payouts show the momentum behind online progressives. In Michigan, four players won a combined more than $900,000 in Mega Jackpot prizes during June, with wins coming from relatively small wagers. Another Hard Rock Bet player in New Jersey won nearly $2 million after a $2 spin triggered the platform’s Mega Jackpot.

As online slots continue to grow, progressive jackpot games remain a key attraction, offering players the chance to turn modest bets into life-changing payouts.
