Octoplay is ready to roll out its online casino games in the US. The software supplier continues its expansion in North America by obtaining its provisional license for the Michigan online casino market.

Octoplay enters the US online gambling space after seeing success in Europe
According to Octoplay’s press release, the Michigan Gaming Control Board’s (MGCB) approval is a key first step in the introduction of its online slots and other games to the American audience.
The expansion into the US online gambling space follows Octoplay’s recent successes in Europe, where the company has rapidly increased its presence in Italy, Slovakia, Greece and Denmark.
In December, Octoplay also launched in Ontario.
Gavin Hamilton, Chairman at Octoplay, said in the news release: “Obtaining the Michigan provisional license marks the beginning of our entry into the United States, a key market for our future growth.
We look forward to bringing our premium products and games to American players, starting in Michigan.”
Hamilton added: “While we’ve seen great success in European markets recently, our entry into the US represents a new chapter for Octoplay.

Octoplay enters one of the most lucrative US online casino markets
Octoplay’s expansion into Michigan allows more MI online operators to access the supplier’s popular online slots. By entering one of the three main US casino markets, Octoplay will join the race against numerous existing providers in the state.
According to the MGCB’s latest report, Michigan online casinos had outstanding revenue in August 2024. Throughout the month, the state’s 15 online casinos outperformed expectations, reporting almost $197 million in wins.
This marks the third-highest gross gaming revenue the state has ever reported. The market also showed a 22.6% annual increase and a 2.7% monthly rise.
Michigan’s online casino win has exceeded $190 million in revenue five times since the beginning of the year. January, February and June were the exceptions.
