CRM marketing solution provider Optimove is expanding to support the rapidly growing online sweepstakes sector. The company announced it has secured three sweepstakes companies as clients:

  • The Money Factory
  • MyPrizes
  • Chanced.com

Pini Yakuel, CEO and founder of Optimove told PlayUSA:

“As the sweepstakes industry continues its rapid growth, it’s more important than ever to elevate contestants’ experiences through true marketing personalization.

At Optimove, we start with the contestant, leveraging advanced AI and deep industry expertise to create highly personalized, data-driven strategies that enhance engagement and loyalty.

Key takeaways

  • Optimove is a leading CRM (Customer Relationship Management) marketing solution provider to online casinos, sportsbooks, and lottery.
  • Besides sweepstakes, Optimove helps leading operators and software suppliers reach and retain customers. Optimove has also designed its system to reduce problem gambling.
  • As the sweepstake industry continues to gain popularity, sweepstake casinos and unregulated sites offering cash prizes started to exit Michigan last year.

In its report from last year, Optimove revealed the primary drivers of player loyalty are: competitive odds (40%), a user-friendly interface (23%), and generous bonuses (23%). This was followed by responsible gambling tolls (7%) and a variety of games (7%).

Optimove works on integrating responsible gambling measures

Optimove collects data from multiple sources. It then analyzes the data using machine learning algorithms to identify patterns that may indicate a player is at risk of developing a gambling problem.

If a user is identified as at risk of developing a gambling problem, the Optimove CRM software can create targeted messaging and promotions that encourage responsible gambling.

Many companies, such as BetMGM, Penn National Gaming, Rush Street Interactive and Pragmatic Play, chose Optimove to enhance personalized experiences across their digital assets.

The legality of sweepstake sites differs from state to state

Sweepstake casinos allow users to play slots and table games without directly betting real money. Players can win real cash prizes in the form of bonuses or promotional events.

The legality of sweepstake sites varies from state to state and is based on local laws. While federal law allows sweepstakes to operate by default, regulators and lawmakers can take action to ban them.

Sweepstakes sites are currently available in more than 40 states. However, states like Michigan, Washington, and Idaho have clear policies against them.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board confirmed in January that it had sent cease-and-desist letters to three sweepstake operators last fall, asking them to stop operating in the state.

The regulator’s findings discovered that two companies registered in the US (PredictionStrike Inc. (NY) and VGW LuckyLand, Inc. (CA)) and one in Cyprus (Sweepstakes Limited) were offering iGaming in the state without licenses. All three companies pulled their products and left Michigan.
