PDX Slots, an online casino content aggregator, is bringing its services to the Michigan online casino market through a partnership with Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers Casino (NYSE: RSI).

This partnership is coming to fruition as PDX Slots was awarded a Provisional Internet Gaming Supplier License by the Michigan Gaming Control Board in October of last year.

Chris Housel, chief executive officer of PDX Slots, emphasized in a news release that the partnership is an ideal match because both companies share similar objectives:

“RSI’s commitment to a superior player experience aligns perfectly with our mission to bring the most retentive content possible to operators.”

Key takeaways

  • PDX Slots partners with Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers Casino to enter Michigan.
  • The partnership introduces PDX Slots’ Remote Gaming Server (RGS) for real-money gaming and expands social gaming through BetRivers.
  • PDX Slots plans to expand to Ontario and New Jersey, leveraging New Jersey’s iGaming hub status.

Partnership targets to enhance real money and social gaming experiences

As a result of this newly formed alliance, PDX Slots games will be debuting special features like Remote Gaming Server (RSG) for real money gaming in the Wolverine State. This infusion will allow third-party developers to easily integrate their games live, quickly, and securely.

The iGaming provider is also expanding its presence in social gaming through BetRivers’ social casino platform.

PDX Slots also offers features such as GLI-19 testing approval and game porting services, which transform games from their current format to be compatible with legalized online casino operators.

Richard Schwartz, chief executive officer for Rush Street Interactive, said players will be receiving the best games at their real-money and social casino platforms.

“We are excited to partner with PDX Slots, whose focus on delivering a select number of high-quality games perfectly aligns with our player-centric strategy at BetRivers. We believe in prioritizing quality over quantity, ensuring that our players have access to the best entertainment experiences available at both our real money and social gaming sites.”

PDX Slots plans expansion to Ontario and New Jersey online casino markets

When asked about potential future expansions, Housel shared with PlayUSA via email that the company is planning to extend its operations to Ontario and New Jersey.

It’s a no-brainer that the Garden State will attract attention, given its status as an iGaming hub. Operators serious about establishing a strong presence in the industry will inevitably seek opportunities to enter this market.

As a result, we can expect to see continued interest and investment from industry leaders eager to capitalize on the state’s potential.

PDX Slots offers comprehensive commercialization services to studios targeting the North American market. This initiative includes RGS services, distribution, and strategic roadmap planning.

PDX aims to assist studios in effectively reaching their market goals and ensuring successful product launches by providing these core services.

Some of the Detriot-based operator’s recent collaborations include a deal with TinyRex Games, an RGS distribution deal with ODDSworks, and a partnership with Australian-based slot game creator Big Wave Gaming.

Rush Street Interactive has several partnerships, including some of the heavyweights in North America like Evolution.

Consistent with its beneficial collaborations, the operator achieved an impressive first-quarter financial result, emphasizing that its online casino brands, including BetRivers, contributed to its strong performance. RSI garnered $217.4 million in Q1 2024 revenue, showing a 34% year-on-year increase.
