Speaking of the partnership extension, Kevin Kilminster, chief product innovation officer at Playtech Live, said:
“We are excited to extend this partnership into another US state, continuing to support bet365 with solutions to support their strategic objective by creating new and engaging content for their customers.
“Together, we have developed many innovative solutions, dedicated environments and bespoke games across many markets, and we look forward to further strengthening our successful partnership with this world-class operator.”
This partnership follows the recent delivery of a custom-made game in Spain, Super Spin Roulette, which showcases Playtech and bet365’s assurance to deliver “unique” and “interesting” content.
Bet365 grows its offering across mature US online casino states
Bet365 launched its NJ online casino and sportsbook in 2019 and has since been providing its services in the state. In addition to New Jersey, bet365 recognized Pennsylvania as a critical iGaming state and a big opportunity to expand its products and services.
In July 2024, bet365 Casino launched in Pennsylvania, bringing live dealers, online slots and online table games to players residing in the Keystone State.
Now that the US operator extended its partnership with Playtech to Pennsylvania, a bet365 spokesperson said in the statement:
“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Playtech into Pennsylvania. Our collaboration has consistently delivered innovative and exciting gaming experiences for our players. We look forward to developing upon our already solid partnership as we continue to grow our offering and achieve new milestones together in the US market.”
The US operator has recently made a similar move in the Garden State. Last week, bet365 teamed with Play’n GO to announce a New Jersey online casino partnership. The companies emphasized that they were looking forward to replicating their “joint success back in Europe,” where their businesses began working together.
Bet365 recently opened its new US headquarters in Denver, where it renovated 120,000 square feet of office space. The company plans to hire nearly 1,000 employees and offer them “good-paying jobs.”
Bet365 employs more than 7,000 people worldwide and has offices in New Jersey and Colorado.
Playtech has had a busy year with US strategic partnerships
Based in the United Kingdom, Playtech has gained a good amount of experience with US online casino enthusiasts.
As mentioned, Playtech’s partnership with bet365 in Pennsylvania marks the second US online casino market where the two companies will collaborate. This is a follow-up to the success of New Jersey, where the two parties signed a long-term partnership in August 2020. The affiliation marked the first step for Playtech into the US market.
Since then, the UK software supplier has joined forces with many renowned iGaming brands.
To name a few:
- Playtech has recently partnered with Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers to bring its games to Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- In June, Playtech signed an agreement with MGM Resorts to offer “MGM Live” casino content to iGaming operators, including those in regulated markets outside the US.
- Earlier this year, Playtech revealed the debut of its table and live dealer games on the Hard Rock Bet online casino in New Jersey.
Out of 11 studios worldwide, Playtech opened three in the US — in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, while empowering players to gamble safer and more responsibly.
This week, Playtech partnered with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) to focus on using technology to create a more sustainable gambling environment. The two parties entered a multiyear collaboration, during which Playtech will work with UNLV’s International Gaming Institute to identify methods of using artificial intelligence and machine learning to support safer gambling.
