Currently, there are no legal online casinos in Wisconsin, but PlayUSA is keeping track of its push in the US. You can keep abreast of legislation for more gambling in the States with the 2024 online casino bill tracker.

According to WISN 12 news article, Sean Cullen, director of the sportsbook at Potawatomi Casino Hotel, said:

“There is simply no retail betting space outside of Las Vegas that can rival the sophistication of our new venue. Ranked No. 2 in the country for gross gaming revenue among publicly reporting sportsbooks, our 75 existing kiosks have established us as a formidable player. We anticipate our new retail sports betting venue to position us as a premier travel destination in the Midwest.”

Potawatomi Casino Hotel Milwaukee was the city’s first sports betting site

In January 2023, Potawatomi Casino Hotel announced adding sports betting kiosks, replacing its Northern Lights Theater and the Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill with a permanent sportsbook.

In March, Potawatomi Casino announced signing a multi-channel sports betting partnership with the Kambi Group. A few weeks later, it opened a temporary ground-floor space within its facility.

The Potawatomi Casino Hotel opened its newly renovated third floor to the public in September. At the time, the Wisconsin casino announced the next phase of a $190 million renovation project would be the opening of a new retail sportsbook at the casino, scheduled to start in the spring or summer of 2024.

Ortiz commented: “We are excited to bring the next level of an entertaining sports betting atmosphere to our guests. We appreciate the patience our guests have given us while we build out these two extraordinary projects. I can assure them it will be well worth the wait.”
