Kentucky sports betting industry growing strong
After Kentucky’s House Bill 551 passage, the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC) approved administrative regulations that set the timeline for implementing sports wagering in Kentucky.
Retail locations opened their doors on Sept. 7, 2023, while online sports betting sportsbook apps launched on Sept. 28, 2023. Apart from bet365, the available sports betting options in KY include FanDuel, DraftKings, Caesars, BetMGM, and other apps.
Over the final months of 2023, Kentuckians placed $892.3 million in total bets using legal sportsbooks. That gives plenty of opportunities for operators and software providers to expand their offerings in the state.
