Sports betting and online casino operator BetMGM recently unveiled a new slot game inspired by the iconic science fiction TV series “Star Trek”.
The “Star Trek: The Next Generation” slot game is currently exclusive to BetMGM Casino in Michigan. However, the operator has ambitious plans to extend its availability to all states where BetMGM’s online casino is currently active.
Atlantic Digital developed the new online slots game from its London studio.
BetMGM partners with Atlantic Digital
In September 2023, BetMGM initiated a strategic alliance with Atlantic Digital, solidifying BetMGM’s position as the sole US distributor of Atlantic Digital’s distinctive gaming offerings. This partnership has resulted in the introduction of “The Godfather” slot, followed by the unveiling of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”
These additions enhance BetMGM’s extensive gaming repertoire, boasting a diverse collection of over 1,500 games that encompasses in-house creations by Entain, collaborations with strategic partners, and the most extensive exclusive jackpot network in the United States.
In a BetMGM press release, Sam Hobcraft, chief executive officer of Atlantic Digital, said he is ecstatic about the successful launch of the game and hopes that this partnership brings forth other innovative game offerings.
“We are delighted to launch our second slot with BetMGM and it doesn’t get much bigger than Star Trek. We are very proud of this game and we have no doubt it will go intergalactic. Building on our already deep relationship with BetMGM, this is the start of many big titles to come in 2024. In the words of Picard, ‘Make it so, Number one.'”
About the ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ online slots game
The “Star Trek: The Next Generation” game is a “high-volatility slot game,” boasting a configuration of five reels, with five distinct symbols, and 3,125 ways to secure a win.
The game features iconic elements from the “Star Trek” universe. It showcases the USS Enterprise alongside characters like Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Deanna Troi, William Riker, Data, and Worf.
Adding to the excitement, the real-money online slots game incorporates features such as cascading reels, providing players with an engaging visual experience. Additionally, players can unlock free spins and a respin bonus.

In other news, BetMGM Casino has enhanced its online slots selection in the UK through a collaboration with game developer, Realistic Games. BetMGM introduced the developer’s slots released on its UK online casino platform last year.
The iGaming operator also recently launched a new game, NHL Gold Blitz, which is its first-ever NHL-endorsed online game.
