Fanatics Betting and Gaming, the sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics Holdings Inc., has recently expanded its reach into Colorado, marking a strategic move to continue providing betting services within the United States.

Residents and visitors aged 21 and over in Colorado can now access the Fanatics Sportsbook to engage in various sports betting activities. This app is accessible on both iOS and Android devices.

PointsBet players can easily transition to using the Fanatics Sportsbook

Following the affirmative vote by PointsBet shareholders in June, Fanatics completed the acquisition of PointBet in August, sealing the deal at $255 million.

In a customer-centric move, Fanatics has streamlined the transition for PointsBet customers into the Fanatics Sportsbook experience. Upon downloading the Fanatics Sportsbook app, PointsBet users can seamlessly log in using their previous username and password.

This integration ensures a smooth transfer of account details, including account balance, customer username, rewards, responsible gambling settings and password. As a result, players can pick up where they left off with PointsBet, retaining their earned rewards and bet balances without any disruption.

Fanatics is poised to enter up to 20 US markets

Since its inception in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming has successfully entered numerous states:

  • Massachusetts
  • Maryland
  • Ohio
  • Kentucky
  • Tennessee
  • Virginia
  • West Virginia

Colorado marks Fanatics’ eighth state.

The operator’s outlook for 2023 is to go live with its sportsbook in about 15 to 20 states. Just before Colorado, Fanatics successfully launched in Virginia and West Virginia.

It has been revealed that states like Pennsylvania and Connecticut should expect an entrance before the year runs out. New York is also on the radar, although regulatory hurdles have caused uncertainty regarding the timeframe.

In Connecticut, Fanatics has taken first steps by establishing an exclusive partnership with the state’s lottery commission last week. This strategic collaboration positions Fanatics as the sole betting partner, securing rights for both mobile and retail sports betting.

With this move, Fanatics is poised to enter the competitive arena alongside industry giants like DraftKings and FanDuel, already operating in Connecticut.

Speaking on the partnership in a press release shared with PlayUSA, Ari Borod, chief business officer of Fanatics, said the company is delighted to be introducing the Fanatics online app in the Nutmeg State.

“We are excited to be working with the CLC to bring the Fanatics Sportsbook to customers in Connecticut. We are looking forward to bringing the Fanatics experience to the ten retail locations throughout Connecticut and, more importantly, adding our innovative mobile app to the online choices available in Connecticut.”

“We have been impressed with the Fanatics team, their aggressive entry into the US sports betting market, and we are excited to see how they redefine the sports betting customer experience here in Connecticut,”  Greg Smith, Connecticut Lottery Corp. president & CEO added.
