As revealed on the company’s X page, Michael Rubin, CEO of Fanatics, called the 56-year-old Chattanooga player to congratulate him on the win.
Key takeaways
- Hudson was the closest to predict the length of Adolis Garcia’s longest home run in round one.
- Fanatics 5 Jackpot is a free to play game on the new Fanatics app, available for iOS and Android download.
- Fanatics Sportsbook mobile app is available in 95% of the legal US sports betting market.
Tennessee player hits $900k in the Fanatics 5 Jackpot
The Fanatics 5 Jackpot prize is usually worth $250,000. However, since the Home Run Derby is a major event on the sports calendar, the total award increased to up to $1 million for the single event.
On July 15, Hudson correctly selected the winners of four first-round derby matchups and the number of home runs the winner recorded.
The fifth question saw Hudson correctly predict the length of Adolis Garcia‘s longest home run in round one. The lucky winner predicted 440 feet or under, while Garcia’s longest home run was 435 feet.
According to Fanatics’ press release, Hudson said:
“I have enjoyed playing these new free-to-play games on the Fanatics app. I took a chance and went with my gut in selecting Adolis Garcia and because he launched a 435-foot home run, I won this life-changing money and I am going to take my wife to Hawaii.”
How to get rewards using a new Fanatics app?

- Fanatics 5 Jackpot: Players can win the jackpot every Saturday with up to $250K up for grabs.
- Perfect 9: In a game where Tic-Tac-Toe meets bingo, players need to place their picks right each Sunday for a chance to win up to $500K.
Fanatics could attract more players in the future
With Tennessee’s sports betting market expanding since 2020, Fanatics became available in the spring of last year after completing their beta-testing period. Fanatics is currently among 12 online gambling licensees in the state.
The sportsbook aimed to be live in 20 US states by the beginning of the 2023-24 NFL season.
Fanatics purchased PointsBet’s US assets last year, concluding the takeover with the New Jersey launch. In May, Fanatics launched a mobile sportsbook in Wyoming, the company’s 21st state of operation.
With more than 2,000 retail locations, Fanatics has an established database of over 100 million global sports fans. This milestone jackpot could increase Fanatics’ popularity and fan database by attracting more players to try free-to-play games and follow Hudson’s path.
Fanatics Casino is currently available in Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.
