Online casino gaming studio Play’n GO announced it has joined forces with Hard Rock Bet to bring popular slots like the Rich Wilde series to New Jersey player.

The partnership means that New Jersey online casino players will have access to Play’n GO’s library of entertaining gaming titles.

Play’n GO COO Magnuss Olson said in a statement that the company is excited to increase its presence in the U.S. online casino market.

“Teaming up with a renowned brand like Hard Rock Digital is a significant achievement for us. We believe this partnership will be highly beneficial for both Hard Rock Digital and Play’n GO, and we anticipate many shared successes in the coming months and years.”

Trio of Play’n GO games highlight Hard Rock announcement

At the forefront of Play’n GO’s library are three slots games that Hard Rock Digital’s New Jersey customers can play: Piggy Bank, Riche Wilde and the Book of the Dead, and Rise of Olympus 100.

Piggy Bank

Themed around filling a piggy bank with as many coins as you can, the game features six reels with symbols such as poker chips, diamonds, bells, dice, pig coins and piggy banks. The reels also contain Scatter symbols. Collect three and you earn a free spin in a bonus round. During the bonus round, you can earn anywhere from five to 50 free spins depending on how many Scatter symbols you get in one play.

You can speed up your gameplay by holding down the space bar. Doing so activates Hyper Spin mode, flying through spins at a rate of about one per second.

Verdict: Piggy Bank’s graphics give off game-show vibes, with a stage-like purple background and square spotlights highlighting the game board. The game’s music is reminiscent of a 70s TV show theme, with hints of disco and jazz. Overall, it’s worth a play.

Riche Wilde and the Book of the Dead

Book of the Dead is part of Play’n GO’s Riche Wilde series, which follows an Indiana Jones-like character named Rich Wilde through a series of adventures in places such as Egypt and the Lost City of Atlantis.

Book of the Dead is set in the “dunes beneath Egypt,” Play’n GO notes. Wilde is on the hunt for the Book of the Dead, and along the way, players can earn free spins with Tomb Scatter symbols and wild-card expanding symbols.

Gameplay is similar to more basic slots. Symbols include A, K, Q, J, and various Egyptian graphics. If you earn three Tomb Scatter symbols, the tombs combine, break apart, and reveal the sought-after Book of the Dead.

Verdict: Book of the Dead is relatively simple (five reels/three lines) and doesn’t match the dramatic music that plays as the soundtrack for the game. In general, Piggy Bank offers a better experience, but the game is a must-play if you like Egyptian themes.

Rise of Olympus 100

Rise of Olympus 100 is the sequel to Play’n GO’s original Rise of Olympus, which released in 2018. The game is themed around Greek mythology (as the name suggests).

The gameplay offers Scatter Symbols to earn bonuses, just like Piggy Bank and Book of the Dead. Players can get up to 100 free spins through Scatter Symbols.

What sets the game apart from its competition is that it includes a “charge meter” that, when maxed out, sends the game into Hand of God mode. If players earn this bonus, the game chooses from three Greek gods: Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. Once chosen, the bonus round starts and the god exerts his powers over the reels to try and earn the player a win.

Verdict: Of the three titles highlighted here, Rise of Olympus is the most entertaining. It features standout graphics, a solid soundtrack, and Hand of God mode triggers a booming voice announcing wins.
