The leading lottery app in the US, Jackpocket, announced its official launch in Puerto Rico. It is the lottery courier’s first market outside of the US.

The Puerto Rico launch also marks the 18th jurisdiction available for lottery play on the Jackpocket app.

US gambling jurisdictions where Jackpocket lottery play is open include Arkansas, Idaho,  Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska and New Mexico.

Puerto Ricans can access Jackpocket games and bonuses

Lottery players in PR can use Jackpocket to access their favorite games, which include:

  • Powerball
  • Loto Cash
  • Pega 4
  • Pega 3
  • Pega 2

The app’s secure platform enables players to order official lottery tickets, which Jackpocket fulfills at a licensed lottery retailer.

Players can pick their game and numbers, view an image of their ticket, get notifications if they win and even get lottery prizes up to $1,200 directly through the app. For prizes over $1,200, the winning ticket will be transferred to the player for claiming from the Puerto Rico Lottery.

To celebrate the PR launch, Jackpocket is giving new players their first lottery ticket on the app for free. New members can receive a $2 credit for one lottery ticket using the code LUCKYPR at checkout on their first order.

Additional Jackpot features for players in Puerto Rico

The Jackpocket app offers a new way to play the lottery with features like Jackpocket Pools for Powerball. It allows players to team up with other players in Puerto Rico or create their lottery pool with friends and co-workers.

The app also gives players access to exclusive giveaways to win trips, sports tickets, free credits, and more.

Furthermore, Jackpocket is iCAP certified for player protection, according to the National Council on Problem Gambling standards. To ensure player safety, Jackpocket offers consumer protections in the form of:

  • Daily deposit limit
  • Spend limit
    Self-exclusion
In-app access to responsible gambling resources

Peter Sullivan, founder and CEO, said in the Jackpocket news release: “We are thrilled to bring Puerto Ricans a new, convenient way to play the lottery. We’re committed to making the lottery fun, safe, and accessible to all who love to play.”

Proceeds from the Puerto Rico Lottery benefit social programs

The company’s press release further states that the proceeds from Puerto Rico Lottery ticket sales benefit essential social programs. These include:

  • College scholarships
  • Health programs
  • Sports and recreation
  • Improvement of roads and infrastructure

According to the press release, Sullivan said: “Proceeds from the Puerto Rico Lottery go to social programs and public works that make a real, tangible impact for Puerto Ricans every day.

Now, Jackpocket will help drive additional funds supporting these programs across the island. We can’t wait to celebrate our first big winner in Puerto Rico.”
