Light & Wonder has announced a new expanded multi-year licensing partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment.

The deal will see new online casino games come to L&W’s platform beginning with Willy Wonka World Of Wonka, according to a news release.

Light & Wonder expanding its online portfolio

The Warner Bros. Willy Wonka-themed slot machine has been a physical slot machine on casino floors for more than a decade, the release said. This new partnership will now feature titles on online casino platforms.

Dylan Slaney, CEO iGaming at Light & Wonder, said in the release:

“The Warner Bros. Discovery brand portfolio is legendary, and our partnership has led to the creation of some of the world’s most popular casino content.

To bring this title online for the first time is incredibly exciting, and we can’t wait to deliver for our operator partners and their players. This is a huge step forward in terms of presenting our omni-channel vision to the world as we continue to develop the most entertaining branded content available anywhere on the market.”

Light & Wonder‘s omni-channel strategy takes shape

The deal represents the next phase of L&W’s omni-channel content strategy. The company continues to forge partnerships, like its deal with Bang Bang Games, designed to accelerate its position as a global content creator.

On July 10, L&W announced the addition of Bang Bang Games to its OpenGaming content platform.

Bang Bang Games has released a series of titles over the last three years, including:

  • Super Cash Drop
  • Jokrz Wild UltraNudge
  • Rainbow Power Potz UltraNudge

Its long-term agreement with Warner Bros. further expands its OpenGaming portfolio giving Light & Wonder the ability to leverage a series of highly successful brands owned by Warner Bros.

In addition to Willy Wonka, L&W plans to bring another physical slot machine, The Wizard of Oz: Road To Emerald City, to the digital space. The company expects more games to be released in 2024 and beyond.
