Michigan online casinos almost reached $200 million in win for May 2024.
More precisely, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) reported that iGaming gross receipts totaled $198.6 million in May, the second-highest monthly sum in the state’s history after March 2024.

Michigan’s May online casino revenue increased 3% since April
Michigan commercial and tribal operators started the year strong. Here’s how win from the 15 Michigan online casinos has changed since the beginning of the year:
- January 2024 gross receipts: $181.9 million (0.3% monthly increase)
- February 2024 gross receipts: $188.0 million (3.4% month-over-month increase)
- March 2024 gross receipts: $215.2 million (14.4% monthly increase)
- April 2024 gross receipts: $192.9 million (10.3% month-over-month decrease)
- May 2024 gross receipts: $198.6 million (3.0% monthly increase)
The win increased monthly except in April when it fell nearly 10% from March, the highest in the state’s history.
May’s win total also represents a 31.9% increase from last year, according to the MGCB’s May 2024 gaming report. Moving forward, more record-breaking numbers are possible.
BetMGM returns to no. 1 Michigan online casino operator
BetMGM Casino has been the top market performer for 39 consecutive months since the Michigan online casino market went live in January 2021. That status ended in March when FanDuel became the leader.
FanDuel Casino enjoyed the number one position for two months, March and April. BetMGM came back on top in May, however.

- MGM Grand Detroit: $52.6 million
- MotorCity (FanDuel): $51.5 million
- Bay Mills (DraftKings): $34.9 million
- Little River Band of Ottawa (BetRivers): $12.5 million
- Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa (Caesars): $11.8 million
