A brand-new high-limit gaming lounge will officially debut on The Palazzo casino floor at The Venetian Las Vegas on Sept. 29. The elevated high-limit gaming space comes two years after Las Vegas Sands sold The Venetian.
The new gaming area inside The Palazzo Tower is just the latest change for the property. Last year, the new casino operator, Apollo Group, committed $1 billion to improve the casino, hotel, entertainment venues, and more last year.
The new high-limit room at The Palazzo dwarfs its predecessor in size, amenities, and number of games available.
According to a post by KTNV Las Vegas, Patrick Nichols, president and chief executive officer of The Venetian, said:
“We designed our high-limit lounge with the sole focus of enhancing the player experience. We really wanted this lounge to be an elevated but not exclusive destination for our players and a statement of the commitment The Venetian Resort has made to continually invest in our casino guests.
This is the next step forward in the resort’s multi-year transformation and will provide an artfully designed setting that reflects our vision and exceeds the expectations of our casino guests.”
A look inside the new high-limit gaming space at The Venetian Las Vegas
The new high-limit gaming lounge at The Palazzo Las Vegas casino is 15,000 square feet and was designed by Wimberly Interiors.
There are distinct spaces in the high-limit room dedicated to table games and slot machines. The lounge also features a bar with high-limit bartop gaming machines.
The room will feature 67 of the latest slot machine cabinets. The games range from traditional reel slots to new video slot games. There are single and multi-hand video poker games. Some machines will offer jackpots greater than $2 million.
Unlike the original high-limit room at The Palazzo, there are 18 table games. Games available include:
- Commission-free Tiger Baccarat
- Blackjack
- Roulette
- Ultimate Texas Hold’em
- Craps
The Ultimate Texas Hold’em games will be linked to the resort’s Millionaire Progressive. Since this progressive side bet debuted, The Venetian has paid million-dollar jackpots 11 times.
Self-pay will be available on all games for quick jackpot payments. This removes the time waiting for a rep to pay out taxable wins.
In addition to the bartop games, this bar could become a destination for those who enjoy adult beverages. The Venetian created a special cocktail program just for the players in the high-limit room.
There will also be private cashiers, restrooms, and a casino host in the new High Limit lounge at The Palazzo.
In a Casino City Times press release, Danny Ruiz, chief gaming officer at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, describes the room as:
“Thoughtfully designed and the perfect space for those looking for an elevated yet inviting experience from the main casino floor. This lounge will provide a premium gaming experience for our guests. It will be like no other high-limit lounge in Las Vegas.”
