PokerGO and Gala Games announced the development of a new state-of-the-art online poker platform the companies plan to launch later this year.
The new poker platform, PokerGO Play, will offer a revolutionary social gaming experience for poker enthusiasts worldwide. The game will use leading Web3 elements allowing players to enhance and upgrade their player avatar in addition to redeeming exclusive real-world prizes.
Gala Games said PokerGo Play will be available in beta in June.
PokerGO Play online poker platform coming soon
As part of the deal, PokerGO Play will receive premier marketing opportunities across the company’s vast content portfolio, including the World Series of Poker.
Other PokerGO-owned tournaments as part of the PokerGo Tour include:
- The Super High Roller Bowl
- Poker Masters
- PokerGO Cup
- US Poker Open
Additionally, PokerGO Genesis NFT holders will receive beneficial status within the game. The company also said the two sides plan to host special events inside the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.

New app turns celebrity ambassadors into playable poker avatars
Another part of the announcement is that World-renowned poker professional Maria Ho has signed on as the first PokerGO Play ambassador.
In her role, Ho will help usher in the game’s launch while also becoming a playable avatar in the game. PokerGoPLay will also have other playable celebrity avatars.
PokerGO is the world’s largest poker content company. It delivers some of poker’s premier live events. The platform offers more than 100 days of live poker annually, including select World Series of Poker final tables.
