State of Play’s TL;DR
- DraftKings is expanding its responsible gaming lineup with new account tools and a Gamalyze American Football feature.
- The company is also unveiling a national campaign highlighting existing controls.
DraftKings has rolled out new responsible gambling tools and a national ad campaign centered on safer-play features already available in its app.
According to Casino.org, the operator’s latest updates include customizable cool-off periods, a new Gamalyze American Football experience, and a sweepstakes tied to the use of responsible gambling tools.
The changes are meant to give customers more choice while also increasing visibility for existing safeguards.
New tools expand player account controls
One of the biggest product changes is the addition of customizable cool-off periods that temporarily block access to wagering for as little as three days or as long as 364 days.
DraftKings is also debuting Gamalyze American Football, an interactive tool designed to provide personalized feedback on a user’s risk level after decision-making rounds. Casino.org reported that DraftKings previously launched a casino version of Gamalyze in January and a soccer version during the World Cup.
The football version is set to appear in digital promotions and at in-person events throughout September, including activations at Wrigley Field, Gillette Stadium, and Arrowhead Stadium.
Campaign highlights budgeting and activity-tracking features
The company’s new ad campaign began streaming online Sept. 10 and features Kevin Hart and Nick Jonas. It continues the cross-country road trip theme from DraftKings’ earlier “Take Your Game Anywhere” campaign.
The video references My Budget Builder, which lets users set how much they want to bet. The source also highlighted My Stat Sheet, a feature that shows recent activity so users can review their betting patterns.
DraftKings is also launching a PGA Tour sweepstakes linked to those tools. Eligible customers who use My Budget Builder or My Stat Sheet between Sept. 16 and Sept. 29 are automatically entered for a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to The Players Championship, according to the report.
