State of Play
- DraftKings has announced a 4% increase in revenue for the third quarter of 2025, reaching $1.144 billion.
- This growth reflects strong customer engagement and strategic sportsbook operations, signaling positive momentum for one of the leading online sports betting sites in the US.
DraftKings reported revenue of $1.144 billion in the third quarter, which ended on Sept. 30. Revenue was up $49 million from $1.095 billion in the same period of 2024.
This increase was driven by strong customer engagement, solid acquisition of new customers, and a higher hold percentage, which was partly offset by favorable customer outcomes.
Adjusting for the impact, the underlying revenue growth was strong for the company, which operates DraftKings Online Casino and DraftKings Sportsbook, among other offerings. In October, its sportsbook handle rose 17% year-over-year, highlighting growing betting activity and market traction.
Company to launch DraftKings Predictions
CEO and co-founder Jason Robins expressed strong confidence in the company’s future.
“Underlying growth in the business is accelerating, and we are excited to launch DraftKings Predictions in the coming months, which we view as a significant incremental opportunity.”
DraftKings’ revenue growth suggests continued investment in platform enhancements and new product offerings aimed at improving player experience and engagement. Known as one of the industry leaders for online sports betting, DraftKings has grown into one of the top real-money online casinos over the last few years as well. Having a strong online casino product is another reason for the strong Q3 showing.
DraftKings’ focus on acquiring customers efficiently while maintaining balanced sportsbook holds demonstrates a strategic approach to sustainable growth. The upcoming launch of DraftKings Predictions is set to introduce innovative betting options, aiming to compete with prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket.
The other key factor at play for DraftKings and the industry is the launch of legal sports betting in Missouri on December 1. DraftKings has an opportunity to have a great launch and the only state launch in 2025. A strong showing in Missouri for DraftKings will benefit the overall company and potentially boost Q4 numbers even higher.
