Evolution, a world-renowned game developer, is expanding its footprint in New Jersey online casinos through a new partnership with PlayStar Casino. The deal comes just a month after Evolution partnered with Ezugi to bring the latter’s live-dealer games to online casinos in the Garden State.

PlayStar boosts its online casino with Evolution titles

The selection features popular titles such as Crazy Time, which began streaming in New Jersey in 2023, as well as Red Door Roulette and Lightning Roulette. Players will also have access to live-dealer table games commonly offered on platforms like FanDuel Casino and BetMGM Casino, including various versions of blackjack, baccarat, craps, and roulette.

A more immersive live casino experience in New Jersey

PlayStar CEO Fredrik Liljewall said Evolution has earned a reputation as a top provider of live-dealer games in the US, citing the company’s quality, innovation, and consistency. These attributes, he said, will allow PlayStar to offer a more immersive live-casino experience for New Jersey players.

PlayStar has been working to enhance its live-casino offerings with the launch of its Home of Live app, the first live-dealer-only real-money online casino platform in the US. Marcus Huber, chief commercial officer of North America at Evolution, said the app’s primary goal is to raise awareness of PlayStar’s live-dealer library while showcasing the company’s full potential in the broader US market, not just in New Jersey.

The partnership with Evolution, combined with the launch of the Home of Live app, could give PlayStar a significant boost. The operator currently ranks near the middle of New Jersey’s 30 online gambling operators in terms of revenue.

PlayStar hopes that emphasizing live-dealer games will improve its ranking and increase revenues. The growth potential is strong: New Jersey online casinos set a revenue record in October, generating $260.3 million and surpassing the quarter-billion-dollar mark. Leading operators in the state include FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.
