Fanatics, a premier online sports betting and casino platform, announced an official partnership with FIFA, bringing the world’s largest soccer tournament and one of America’s premier sports fan festivals together over the same weekend in July.

The announcement, made April 9, ties the two organizations for the Fanatics Fest NYC, a four-day festival scheduled for July 16-19 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. The timing is deliberate:

The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is set for MetLife Stadium on July 19. As Fanatics Fest concludes that same day, the partnership aims to harness the global energy surrounding the match.

Fanatics Fest NYC: A festival scaled for the world stage

Fanatics Fest is no small gathering. The 2025 edition drew more than 125,000 visitors to the Javits Center over three days, while the inaugural 2024 event attracted 70,000 fans and collectors. For 2026, the festival will expand to four days and occupy significantly more floor space — a fitting upgrade given the scale of the World Cup.

FIFA will host the largest branded area at the event. Within that space, attendees can expect live appearances by soccer legends, match viewings and interactive content. The goal, according to organizers, is to extend the World Cup atmosphere beyond the stadium and into the heart of Manhattan.

Lance Fensterman, CEO of Fanatics Events, described the World Cup final weekend as a global cultural moment. He said FIFA’s involvement allows the festival to deliver an experience that reflects the worldwide passion for the sport.

Win $1 million grand prize and FIFA penalty shootouts

A standout feature of the event is “Fanatics Games,” a multi-day, cross-sport competition where 50 fans go head-to-head with 50 professional athletes, celebrities and creators for a $1 million grand prize.

FIFA will add its own challenge to the mix: Fans can step up to take penalty kicks against a goalkeeper chosen from the festival crowd. The challenge aims to place ordinary fans in one of soccer’s most high-pressure scenarios.

FIFA’s plan to conquer North America

Heimo Schirgi, FIFA’s chief event operations officer, described the partnership as part of a deliberate effort to connect with fans beyond the stadium.

The move fits into FIFA’s broader strategy for the 2026 World Cup. With the tournament spread across the United States, Canada and Mexico, FIFA is looking to deepen its footprint in the North American market. Partnering with a festival that consistently draws six-figure attendance is a practical step toward reaching that audience.

The ultimate World Cup watch party in the heart of NYC

For fans unable to secure tickets to the final at MetLife Stadium, the partnership offers a high-energy alternative. The Javits Center is in the heart of the city, less than 10 miles from the stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Fanatics shifted the event from its usual June or August dates specifically to align with the tournament. According to a Fanatics press release, further details on FIFA-specific programming will be released as July approaches.

Tickets for Fanatics Fest NYC 2026 are currently on sale at FanaticsFest.com. With the World Cup final on one side of the Hudson River and a massive fan festival on the other, New York is positioned to be the center of the soccer universe this summer.
