State of Play’s TL;DR

  • FanDuel is launching a new Rewards Club.
  • The company is also expanding Bet Protect+ to NFL player props.

FanDuel is rolling out a new Rewards Club and expanding Bet Protect+ to NFL player props ahead of Week 1, adding new loyalty, protection, and research tools before the season opens.

It changes how FanDuel Sportsbook customers can earn perks and manage injury-related risk on NFL bets.

The company said new customers can register now to begin earning rewards from their first kickoff, though availability may vary by state, and each feature has its own terms.

Rewards Club resets each month and adds tiered perks

FanDuel said its new Rewards Club is a points-based program that resets monthly. Customers move up levels as they wager, with higher levels tied to larger benefits.

The program includes:

  • Daily promotions
  • A weekly reward selection
  • Milestone-based challenges
  • Rewards boxes that reveal surprise reward tokens

FanDuel Managing Director of Sports Karol Corcoran said:

“Our customers look forward to football season, and this year we’re giving them more control of their experience to make it the most rewarding season ever.”

Bet Protect+ now covers eligible NFL player props

The other major product change is the NFL expansion of Bet Protect+, a feature FanDuel said was previously used during the NBA playoffs and WNBA season. The protection costs an added 3% of the wager.

If an injured player leaves a game and does not return, FanDuel said a straight bet is refunded in cash. For parlays, the affected leg is removed and the payout is recalculated. The company also said the NFL version can be set to opt in automatically on eligible bets.

FanDuel said Bet Protect+ can be applied to wagers funded with bonus bets, and that affected wagers will be flagged in My Bets in real time. Cash settlement follows immediately once an injury is confirmed, according to the company. The feature does not apply if a player returns to the game after an injury.

FanDuel adds more stats now, with AceAI tools coming later

FanDuel also said it has added game logs and team stats to player pages. Later in the season, it plans to add prop trends, injury reports, player favoriting, league rankings, and an Ask AceAI tab.

AceAI will be able to return stats, list available markets, and add selections directly to a bet slip.

FanDuel is a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker FLUT.
