The Price is Right is about to get a whole lot more interesting for players. This fall, the show is introducing a brand-new pricing game called The Lion’s Share, a collaboration between BetMGM Casino and Fremantle.

Starting Monday, Sept. 22, during the show’s 54th season, the new game will give contestants a chance to win a jackpot worth up to $500,000 in cash, cars, and trips.

In a press release, BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost said:

“BetMGM is always looking for ways to create legendary moments. This collaboration combines the legacy of an iconic game show with the excitement of the BetMGM brand.

The rarity of a new pricing game and the opportunity for players to win one of the largest prizes in the show’s history reflects BetMGM’s focus on bringing a world of unmatched entertainment to our players.”

The Lion’s Share: The Price Is Right’s high-stakes BetMGM game

The game has two parts. First, contestants guess whether everyday items are priced correctly. Each correct answer earns them a ball, with up to five to collect. In the second part, the balls go into a wind tunnel chamber, and contestants grab as many as they can. Each ball corresponds to a prize, but one unlucky ball means ‘Lose It All.’

At that point, players can either cash out with their winnings or risk it all for bigger prizes.

The format blends the familiar price-guessing element with a high-stakes finish designed to keep both players and viewers on edge.

“It’s an exciting moment when a new game is added. Partnering with BetMGM, a brand known for innovation in games and entertainment, is the perfect collaboration.

We look forward to bringing a fresh energy to a timeless format, while honoring the iconic gameplay fans know and love,” Fremantle Chief Operating Officer Suzanne Lopez said.

What’s next: The Lion’s Share heads to online casino play in 2026

The new pricing game is part of a broader partnership. Earlier this year, Freemantle granted BetMGM the rights to adapt its most famous game shows, including The Price is Right and Family Feud, into online casino games. An online version of The Lion’s Share is already in development and is expected to launch in 2026.

This marks the first time a new game has been added to The Price Is Right since 2021, when “Back to ’72” and “To the Penny” premiered. But that’s not the only update for the new season. Special episodes will air for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, as well as themed events for Breast Cancer Awareness and Pet Adoption Week.

The familiar Price Is Right models will also return. Rachel Reynolds, Manuela Arbeláez, Amber Lancaster, James O’Halloran, Devin Goda, and Alexis Gaube will continue to showcase prizes, introduce games, and bring their signature energy to the stage.

From game shows to casinos: The Price Is Right joins a winning trend

The Lion’s Share is not the first time a classic TV format has crossed over into online casino play. Evolution turned Deal or No Deal into a live casino staple, Playtech’s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire slot became a global hit, and IGT has long relied on its Wheel of Fortune license as one of the most successful online slot franchises of all time.

For The Price Is Right, the BetMGM Casino collaboration is a unique crossover that bridges television and casinos. Fans get to experience a beloved show in a new, interactive way, while casinos tap into an existing, loyal audience.

And The Price Is Right is not the only show expanding its footprint. Family Feud is headed to Las Vegas in the form of a live dealer online casino game show hybrid.
