State of Play’s TL;DR

  • Station Casinos said nearly 10,000 eligible employees will receive $1,000 in Red Rock Resorts stock for each year of service.
  • Distributions begin Sept. 14.

Station Casinos says it is awarding more than $70 million in Red Rock Resorts Class A stock to nearly 10,000 full- and part-time employees as part of its 50th anniversary celebration.

Eligible workers employed as of Sept. 9 will receive $1,000 in stock for every year of service.

The announcement came during a surprise ceremony at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa in Las Vegas, where Red Rock Resorts Chairman and CEO Frank Fertitta III and Vice Chairman Lorenzo Fertitta framed the grant as a recognition of long-term service across the company’s Southern Nevada operations.

Stock award ties anniversary milestone to employee tenure

According to the company, team members can begin receiving their shares on Sept. 14. Station Casinos said the award covers nearly 10,000 employees and is valued at more than $70 million.

One example highlighted by the company was Ida Johnson, who started with the business in 1977 and received $49,000 worth of stock. Station Casinos also said seven employees who began at Bingo Palace in the 1970s and still work for the company each received more than $45,000 in equity.

Frank Fertitta III said the award reflects principles the company traces to founder Frank Fertitta Jr., including serving the local community and taking care of team members. Lorenzo Fertitta called the stock grant “an investment in our nearly 10,000 Team Members.”

What the announcement says about Red Rock Resorts

The grant is notable because it uses equity in Red Rock Resorts, the publicly traded parent tied to Station Casinos’ Las Vegas-area casino portfolio. The company said the award applies to both full- and part-time eligible employees, with tenure directly determining the size of each grant.

Station Casinos launched its 50th anniversary celebration on July 1 at Palace Station, and this stock distribution is now one of the clearest financial markers of that campaign.

The company has not detailed the total share count, tax treatment, vesting terms, or any related corporate filings tied to the award.
