The more, the merrier.

That’s the predominant philosophy of New Jersey online casinos looking to expand the number of games they offer their customers. That’s exactly what PlayStar Casino has done announcing it will add Play’n Go games to the library of slots and table games it provides to Garden State customers.

The announcement comes just a few months after PlayStar revealed a partnership with Wazdan, another game studio.

In a press release, PlayStar COO Dan Alexander said the Play’n Go partnership embodies his company’s efforts to offer its customers the top titles in online gaming.

“We’re very proud of the incredible popularity PlayStar has enjoyed since launching In New Jersey – and one of the key components of that success has been always ensuring that we offer the very best in casino content to our customers.

Partnering with Play’n GO will allow us to double down on this proposition in the Garden State by enabling us to provide fan-favorite titles…on our platform and we’re sure players are going to love discovering what the studio is all about.”

Key takeaways

  • New Jersey’s PlayStar Casino will feature online casino games from Play’n GO.
  • Play’n GO has more than 300 game titles.
  • PlayStar Casino has earned more than $11 million in revenue this year.

How Play’n Go can propel PlayStar Casino’s online casino success

Variety is the name of the game in online casinos; the more titles a casino offers, the higher the chances it can keep existing customers and attract new ones. Consequently, online casinos and game suppliers often announce new partnerships with game studios.

PlayStar’s partnership with Play’n Go bolsters its library of more than 600 iGaming titles and gives it access to Play’n Go’s most popular games, including:

  • Reactoonz
  • Rise of Olympus
  • Raging Rex 2
  • Legion Gold

Magnus Olsson, CCO at Play’n Go, said his company has more than 360 games to offer PlayStar, a move that could push the online casino’s game library to more than 1,000.

Olsson noted that partnering with PlayStar gives his company even more exposure among competitive New Jersey online casinos. Olsson said:

“Partnering with an up-and-coming brand like PlayStar will help us significantly boost our exposure in the New Jersey market.

Our current collection of over 360 premium titles includes some of the most-played games of all time, and we’ll be bringing the very best of that line-up to PlayStar over the coming weeks. We’re really excited about this partnership and can’t wait to hear how our titles are received by players.”

Where PlayStar fits in the NJ online casino market

PlayStar Casino is one of four online casinos operating under a license from Ocean Casino Resort. Among those four, PlayStar has brought in the second-most revenue to date, according to data from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement:

  • betOcean: $13.7 million year to date
  • PlayStar: $11.2 million year to date
  • Tipico: $6.9 million year to date
  • Parx: $6.7 million year to date

In the context of the entire New Jersey iGaming market, PlayStar is one of more than 25 online casinos. Its monthly revenue is in the bottom tier.

However, being in the bottom tier of revenue in New Jersey isn’t such a bad thing.

The state consistently generates more than $180 million in monthly iGaming revenue and is one of the top three online casino markets in the country. For example, in May 2024, NJ online casino revenue hit $192.1 million, up 19% year-on-year.
