Casino operator, Affinity Interactive announced it will renovate and rebrand Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino as The Continental Casino & Hotel. Interesting flip-flop of the words hotel and casino with the name change.
Anyway, the transformation of Silver Sevens into The Continental is already underway and will continue through 2o24. Affinity says The Continental will debut in 2025.
Silver Sevens is considered a locals casino despite its proximity to the Vegas Strip. The property at 4100 Paradise Rd. is about one mile east of Horseshoe and half a mile north of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas (formerly Hard Rock).
Changing names isn’t new for this small off-strip property. The casino originally opened as the Continental in 1981. Prior to becoming Silver Sevens, the casino was named Terrible’s (yes, the gas station brand) from 2000-2012.
In addition to changing names, The Continental will have a new bar, a new gaming floor, and more dining options.
Las Vegas casino brings back old name and Pink Taco
The Continental will be a throwback of sorts. In addition to bringing the old name back, Affinity says The Continental Casino & Hotel will be a nostalgic tribute to the golden area of Las Vegas when guests had a good time in Sin City and didn’t have to overpay for everything.
The biggest change to The Continental might be happening outside of the casino. Affinity is adding a 10,000-square-foot rooftop bar and lounge above the porte cochere, which will be renovated. This should offer great views of the Las Vegas skyline.
Fans of the original Hard Rock casino (now Virgin Hotels Las Vegas) will be happy to hear that Pink Taco will return to a Las Vegas casino. The Continental will become the new flagship location of Pink Taco.
Silver Sevens has only one restaurant at this time. Affinity plans to change that and the company says it will be “introducing a range of unique dining options.”
The casino floor is already seeing changes with a new mix of games. “Our vision is to elevate the casino and hotel experience at Silver Sevens while remaining true to its history,” said Chief Executive Officer of Affinity Interactive, Andrei Scrivens, in an Affinity Interactive news release.
Casino connected to Las Vegas Grand Prix
The timing of this announcement isn’t an accident. There’s a Las Vegas Grand Prix connection to the owners of Silver Sevens/The Continental.
Affinity Interactive is a subsidiary of Z Capital Group (ZCG). The privately held global investment firm is a Scuderia Ferrari Team Partner.
Ferrari will have two cars participating in the Las Vegas Grand Prix this week. The company will host the ZCG/Scuderia Ferrari Fan Zone at Silver Sevens.
The event will have unique Scuderia Ferrari Team Partner experiences, DJs, driving simulators, and two 50-foot LED screens to watch race activities.
Fans of the automaker can also find a Ferrari pop-up boutique at Bellagio until Nov. 20.
