If you haven’t been to Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore, California in a while, you’re in for a surprise.
This past week, the California casino unveiled the completion of a massive renovation project that included an overhaul of 60,000 square feet of gaming space.
Tachi Palace Casino Resort General Manager Michael Olujic said in a casino press release:
“Tachi Palace is excited to unveil our new look, with no corner of the casino left untouched. The updates made throughout the property enhance the luxury of our ultimate four-star getaway destination.”
To commemorate the completion of the renovations, the casino held a grand opening event. Tribal leaders from the Tachi Yokut tribe and casino management joined for a ceremonial ribbon cutting at the event.
Renovation touches all key parts of California casino
Tachi Palace’s overhaul was a significant one, affecting many of the high-traffic areas in the casino. Included in the renovations were:
- Two new bars
- An updated 60,000-square-foot gaming space called “Casino of the Moon”
- A new table games pit area called the “Sun Table Games Pit” and designed in Gatsby style
- A Pizza Hut and a new location for the casino’s deli
- A breezeway that connects the casino to the property’s Coyote Entertainment Center
- A new exterior front entrance
The renovations came at the perfect time for the casino, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Olujic said on their website during construction earlier this year.
“We are so excited to complete all of these amazing upgrades and renovations, especially as this year marks a significant milestone for Tachi Palace as we celebrate our 40-year anniversary.
We look forward to providing guests with an even more enjoyable experience both in the Casino and in our Coyote Entertainment Center through these construction upgrades.”
Sports bar kicks off opening with celebrity appearances
Sunset Sports Bar, one of two new bars that were part of the renovations, hosted a meet-and-greet event with four California sports stars to celebrate its opening.
Casino patrons were able to meet:
- Former Los Angeles Dodger Steve Garvey
- San Francisco Giant and California Angel former player J.T. Snow
- Former Los Angeles Raider Jay Schroeder
- Former San Diego Charger Lorenzo Neal
The first 200 guests at the meet-and-greet received autographed pictures of the athletes.
The casino posted about the new bar several times on its Facebook page. The response to the posts was largely positive, with one commenter arising the quality and portions of dinner meals, and another thanking the casino for the meet-and-greet.
