The Venetian Las Vegas makeover continues with a major change to the casino floor. This summer The Venetian will open a brand-new poker room.

The Venetian’s 35-table poker room will move from the main casino floor near the sportsbook to the second level of the Grand Canal Shoppes.

This will free up space for the Las Vegas casino to offer something new in the future. The Venetian hasn’t revealed plans for the future of the space.

When discussing the new poker room, the director of poker operations for The Venetian, Tommy LaRosa, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal: “It’s going to be modern, it’s going to be clean, and it’s just going to be unique. It’s going to be a one-of-a-kind space.”

The new poker room will continue to offer players cash games. It will also be the home of the DeepStack poker tournament series.

This poker room will be in the Grand Canal Shoppes near The Palazzo. The room will be most easily accessible from The Palazzo parking garage and valet.

The poker room will be the first gambling space inside the shopping plaza at The Venetian.

New poker room at The Venetian will be the largest on Vegas Strip

The new poker room will be the largest on the Vegas Strip when it opens this summer. There will be 50 tables in the new 14,000-square-foot poker room on the second floor of the Las Vegas casino.

By moving the poker room, The Venetian will offer upgraded seating arrangements and the spaciousness it became famous for over the years. Each seat inside the 50-table poker room will have USB and USB-C charging ports.

One of the unique features of the new poker room will be the dedicated streaming room. This will allow players to vlog directly from the poker room. The space will also provide the ability to stream tournament final tables and cash games.

There will be TVs throughout the poker room. Sports bettors can place wagers on the William Hill kiosk if they don’t have the mobile app. There will also be a kiosk for those who want to check their new Venetian Rewards status.

The room will feature a self-serve soda fountain (The Venetian is a Coca-Cola property) and coffee for players. Additionally, guests can order from Grand Lux Cafe on the main casino floor.

After drinking too much soda, players can visit the private restroom inside the poker room.

Like most large Vegas Strip casinos, The Venetian has a self-parking fee. However, there are ways to get complimentary parking when playing poker.

Nevada residents can scan their driver’s license for three hours of free parking. Additionally, The Venetian poker page says self-parking is complimentary for poker players “who play three hours or more in a tournament or cash games.”

The Venetian’s $1 billion makeover continues

Shortly after Apollo Global Management purchased operations of The Venetian in 2021, the company said it would invest $1 billion in upgrading the property. The new poker room will be the latest gaming space upgrade at The Venetian.

Last year, Apollo upgraded, reconfigured, and rebranded The Venetian sportsbook. The company also added a brand new high-limit gaming lounge at The Palazzo.

Next month Venetian Rewards will become the new loyalty program for the property.

There are also numerous non-gaming upgrades underway. In addition to adding new bars, restaurants, and entertainment options The Venetian Convention & Expo Center will receive a multi-year facelift.
