On Thursday, the West Virginia lottery launched its new online platform iPlay. The West Virginia online lottery includes draw sales and instant games and has its own customer loyalty rewards program. The site, born from a partnership between the state lottery and NeoPollard Interactive, went live on Hallowe’en.

In a press release, John Myers, West Virginia Lottery Director, hailed the arrival of iPlay, saying it’s a game-changer for the Mountain State’s lottery scene.

We are incredibly excited for this new chapter of playing lottery games in West Virginia. The iLottery program allows players to participate completely from the comfort of their homes and adds a level of convenience for those who like to play.

We are extremely proud of our team, as they have worked diligently to prepare for this launch.

What should players expect from iPlay platform?

Using the new iPlay platform, West Virgina players can now purchase draw game tickets online as well as play elnstant games online. This will stamp them as the 11th state with these offerings.

A lot of other perks are to come with new innovation. Like other states that have adventured through the digital phase of the lottery, iPlay is being provided by the NeoSphere platform. It will include the offering of games like:

Players should also expect features, which will include:

  • Quick Pick
  • Auto renewal subscription
  • Favorite numbers

New PlayOn loyalty program also in the books

As the 12th US state with the iLottery option, the West Virginia Lottery did not just come with the launch of a new online app. It also unveiled a new website design to keep things fresh, along with a new loyalty program called “PlayOn.”

Colin Hadden, General Manager for NeoPollard Interactive, talked about the importance of all the new features in a press release.

The launch of iPlay, in conjunction with a new website, mobile app, and PlayOn loyalty program, marks a significant milestone for the West Virginia Lottery. We are confident that the comprehensive solution from NPi will deliver an unparalleled gaming experience to lottery players across the state.

PlayOn offers account management, lets players stay up-to-date on news, and checks their numbers. Plus, no need to memorize a new URL as it’s still wvlottery.com.

PlayOn makes it easy for players to earn points by participating with the program, whether they are making the purchase in person or online. By completing activities on the platform, members can accumulate points that can be used toward rewards and exclusive second-chance promotions.

For added convenience, iPlay and PlayOn accounts are fully synced. Anyone who registers with iPlay will be automatically enrolled in the rewards system, seamlessly connecting both experiences.

Those who enjoy purchasing their tickets at retail locations can still take part in the PlayOn loyalty program. This allows everyone to enjoy the program’s benefits, no matter how they choose to play.

iLottery sets in to rake revenue for West Virginia

Drawing references to how other US online lottery states sprang out with their operations, it is a given that programs launched in partnership with iLottery have sparked impressionable sales growth in traditional retail locations, owing to promotions, rewards, and exclusive bonuses.

West Virginia will lead the way as the first state to capitalize on this combined approach from day one, Myers noted.

Not only will iLottery sales help generate revenue for the state that helps education, seniors, tourism, and veterans from all the proceeds, but they will also help improve sales at our brick-and-mortar retailers as they partner with PlayOn. We are eagerly awaiting the fun but want to stress the importance of playing responsibly and in a safe manner.
