The Wyoming Lottery won’t go through any radical changes in the near future, and that’s likely a good thing for players. A new Intralot contract keeps the same games provider in place for at least the next five years.

With Intralot, the lottery in Wyoming has been able to provide millions in funding for the state’s projects. That number should grow as the partnership continues to present new games.

Wyoming Lottery executes new Intralot contract

With this move, the Wyoming Lottery keeps “dancing” with the only partner it has ever had. In March of 2014, the Wyoming Lottery selected Intralot’s bid to be its gaming vendor from among three candidates.

The state authorized a lottery in 2013, and the first tickets went on sale later in 2014. At the time, the contract ran through 2024. Now, the relationship will continue through at least 2029.

“We take our responsibilities seriously at the Wyoming Lottery Corporation,” said Jon Clontz, CEO of the Wyoming Lottery Corp., in a press release.

“Our selection of a gaming vendor is of extreme importance and is at the very core of our operations. We are honored to extend our relationship with Intralot, Inc., and continue to rely on our mutually beneficial, trusting, and high-performing partnership.”

Intralot is one of the largest gaming vendors in the world, providing these services to several other US state lotteries besides Wyoming. That expertise has served the Wyoming Lottery well so far.

Wyoming share of revenues in the tens of millions

Since the Wyoming Lottery began selling tickets, it has achieved its goal of funding the state. Returns to the state have been greater than $25 million over its lifetime. In Wyoming, lottery disbursements go to the state’s treasurer.

Intralot’s refreshment of games has played a part in that funding. For example, the Wyoming Lottery debuted a new game, 2by2, just last month.

“We are grateful to the Wyoming Lottery for their trust and long-standing partnership, and we look forward to continuing to create value and drive their growth through our state-of-the-art technology and advanced quality of services,” said Byron Boothe, CEO of Intralot, Inc.

“We look forward to our continued partnership and assisting in generating revenue for the great state of Wyoming.”

Now, Wyomingites can look forward to many more new titles over most of the rest of the current decade.
