When MGM Resorts first announced its new partnership with Marriott last year, the company said that it would involve BetMGM. Now that the tie-up between the casino and hotel operators is underway there are details about how BetMGM will be involved.
This is a first-of-its-kind rewards partnership in the online casino and sports betting industry. Most BetMGM users are halfway set up to use this partnership.
Players nationwide with legal online casinos or sports betting can link their BetMGM Rewards accounts to Marriott Bonvoy. This will allow BetMGM players to transfer points to Marriott Bonvoy to use at 30 hotel brands and 10,000 destinations worldwide.
In a Marriott International press release, BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said:
“The collaboration with Marriott Bonvoy is a monumental differentiator for us. This partnership will extend our brand to millions of potential new customers while offering our players the unique benefit of utilizing their gameplay to tap into the world of Marriott Bonvoy’s unrivaled portfolio of experiences.”
Exclusive games and experiences for linked Marriott Bonvoy, BetMGM accounts
BetMGM players who connect with their Marriott Bonvoy account will have access to participate in exclusive games, experiences, and offers on the BetMGM platform.
Peggy Roe, executive vice president and chief customer officer, of Marriott International explains that this is more than just a hotel partnership:
“This landmark collaboration between Marriott Bonvoy and BetMGM goes beyond hospitality and gaming, unlocking new opportunities for members to ignite their passions and deepen connections with the people and places they love.”
The companies are offering a special promotion to celebrate the launch of this partnership. Marriott Bonvoy and BetMGM are offering one lucky member and up to three friends a trip to Los Angeles.
The “Ultimate LA Getaway” sweepstakes is being organized by basketball superstar Blake Griffin. Eligible members who link their accounts between March 18 – April 8, 2024, may enter for the opportunity to win the trip.
The winner and friends will have a golf experience with Griffin. The weekend includes an itinerary with stops at Griffin’s favorite restaurants and box seats to a comedy show.
The winner will also receive roundtrip airfare and a three-night stay at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel.
Linking BetMGM to Marriott Bonvoy accounts is easy
BetMGM is making it easy for players to link the two accounts. The company offers a seamless user interface to earn BetMGM Rewards points.
Players can simply transfer BetMGM Rewards points for Marriott Bonvoy points through BetMGM’s website, mobile app, or rewards store. The next step is to go to the “Account Details” section and follow the ‘My Rewards’ prompts.
Players may only transfer 100,000 points between BetMGM Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy.
MGM Collection With Marriott Bonvoy
The BetMGM part of this partnership follows the launch of the MGM Collection With Marriott Bonvoy earlier this month.
There are two benefits to this deal. First, it allows MGM Rewards members to match reward tiers with Marriott Bonvoy. This increases the benefits of MGM Rewards members when staying at Marriott properties around the world.
The partnership also allows Marriott Bonvoy members to book hotel rooms at MGM Resorts properties through the hotel operator’s portal using cash or points.
