Normally, dropping the ball in Washington DC is a bad thing; but not for lottery fans, though.

This past week, Vienna-based gaming company Greentube’s US division announced it will launch a new lottery game titled “Drop the Balls” in the nation’s capital. The title mixes elements of several different games to provide players with a unique lottery experience.

Greentube USA CEO Ben Sutherland said in the statement.

“The magic at the heart of this game is a physics simulation that makes all the action in the game look and feel realistic. Drop the Balls is a game that lottery players of all ages will enjoy, and we are excited to be launching it with the Washington DC Lottery.”

Greentube anticipates new online lottery game will be a hit

Drop the Balls is a mix of three different games: pinball, pachinko, and bagatelle, a variant of roulette. Once the game goes live, players will drop balls onto a playfield that has various obstacles and multipliers that increase a ball’s value.

Players will have the chance to earn free balls in bonus rounds, too.

Greentube did not provide a timeline for its DC launch, but the company did note it plans to launch the game across the nation and in Latin America and European countries, too.

“The game is expected to be an instant hit, thanks to its engaging gameplay, stunning graphics, and realistic physics simulation,” the company noted.

Greentube’s US expansion continues

The news of Greentube’s forthcoming Drop the Balls launch in DC is the latest development in a concerted effort to expand in North America.

The company is licensed to operate in five US online gambling markets:

  1. Connecticut
  2. Michigan
  3. New Jersey
  4. Pennsylvania
  5. West Virginia

Greentube announced its Pennsylvania license this past month, noting that entering the Keystone State was “another important milestone” in the company’s pursuit of the North American market.

Some of the company’s top online slots titles include:

Like other online gambling and lottery operators, Greentube is constantly developing and releasing new games. Earlier this month, the company announced the debut of Juicy Riches, a beach-bar-themed slots title with up to 50x bonus multipliers and chances to earn up to 10 free spins.
