State of Play’s TL;DR

  • Bet365 has launched its online casino in Michigan after state board approval, restoring the market to 15 live casino apps.
  • This move pairs the new casino with bet365’s existing Michigan sportsbook and local pro-team partnerships.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board signed off on bet365 as the digital platform provider for the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, allowing bet365 Casino to go live in the state.

In its announcement, bet365 Casino highlighted expansion into its third online-casino state and pointed to an established sportsbook presence in Michigan – including official partnerships with the Detroit Tigers (MLB) and Detroit Red Wings (NHL).

Bet365 Casino fills the void left when PokerStars moved onto FanDuel Casino’s platform.

A company spokesperson said the operator aims to provide “a better way to bet,” adding that “this is a mature market with knowledgeable fans.”

Look for bet365 Casino promos and welcome offers

Bet365’s arrival means one more full-featured Michigan online casino app competing for market share alongside DraftKings Casino, FanDuel Casino, BetMGM Casino, Caesars Online Casino, Hard Rock Bet Casino, and the state-specific Play Gun Lake Casino.

Bettors can expect new bonus and retention offers as operators react to the entry, and integrated sportsbook-to-casino promos could increase cross-product loyalty.

Operators will face pressure on pricing, customer-acquisition spend, and product differentiation – areas where bet365 is signaling strength with a combined casino and sportsbook stack.

Regulators likely viewed the tribal partnership and supplier approvals as aligning with Michigan’s established licensing framework.

Watch for bet365 to lean on its local sports partnerships and its sportsbook integration to drive player acquisition. Longer term, the launch underscores continued consolidation and competition among major operators in regulated US states.
