The accommodations for VIP guests at one of the two tribal casinos in Connecticut are about to get swankier. Mohegan Sun Connecticut recently announced an investment into that part of its business.

Expansions and renovations across multiple parts of the property will take much of the rest of the year and represent a $15 million expenditure. All guests will be able to enjoy part of the makeover, too.

Mohegan Sun Connecticut announces remodel

According to Mohegan Sun, this year’s makeover includes a new VIP Lounge & Bar in Casino of the Earth. Other parts of the campus will see major renovations, focusing on:

  • The outdoor patio at Summer Entrance
  • Sachem Lounge
  • The Royal Suites

It plans to open the new VIP lounge this fall. The Rockwell Group is designing the 6,500-square-foot space. In addition to a full bar, it will also offer dining, and a fireplace will serve as the lounge’s centerpiece.

The new lounge will sit next to the BALLO Italian Kitchen & Bar. Mohegan Sun also plans to revamp its drink and food offerings available in the Casino of the Earth for all patrons, though the new lounge will only be open to Momentum VIP members.

At the Casino of the Sky, renovations to The Royal Suites will aim to elevate visitors’ experiences further. The two suites at the top of the casino’s Sky Tower will “undergo an extensive Fire & Water themed makeover.”

While these upgrades focus on the casino’s high rollers, there are parts of the makeover that will be available to all guests. That’s where the Sachem Lounge and Summer Entrance come in.

Connecticut casino and amenities renovation

At the Summer Entrance, the Connecticut casino plans to add a deck, music stage, permanent outdoor bar, and a redesigned area for family activities like lawn games. The Sachem Lounge will be part of a larger overall culinary makeover.

Another part of the $15 million expense will cater to those who prefer to hit the links while on-site. Major upgrades are coming to the Mohegan Sun Golf Club in Baltic, Connecticut, over the next three years as well. The plans include redesigns of parts of the course.

Connecticut tribal casinos like this spare no expense when it comes to wooing their clientele. These plans should appeal to all guests even if the main focus is on the big spenders.
