The New Hampshire Lottery is now online.

This week, New Hampshire became the seventh state in the country to offer sales of various lottery products online. However, New Hampshire now makes it six states currently conducting online lottery sales.

Minnesota lawmakers voted to make online lottery sales illegal in 2015 and pulled the games it launched a year earlier. The New Hampshire legislature passed a bill authorizing online lottery sales in June 2017. New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu signed the bill a week later.

The five other state lotteries with active online lottery sales are:

The New Hampshire Lottery and NeoPollard Interactive

The New Hampshire Lottery partnered with iLottery technology firm NeoPollard Interactive LLC to launch its online lottery offering.

It includes a selection of eight new e-Instant games, or interactive scratch games, and tickets for the Powerball and Mega Millions multi-state lotteries.

The e-Instant games and draw game tickets are available to anyone 18 or older with a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer inside state lines. However, players must sign up for an NH iLottery Account first. Registration is free, but it requires passing through an identity verification process. This includes the submission of the last four digits of a player’s Social Security number.

Players can fund their NH iLottery Account using an approved debit card, PayPal or ACH Bank Transfer. The minimum deposit is $10 and the maximum daily deposit limit is $500. Additionally, players can withdraw funds using the same methods. However, the minimum withdrawal amount is $10.

The new e-Instant games

Currently, the New Hampshire Lottery’s iLottery program e-Instant games include:

  • Wizard of All
  • 10X The Cash
  • Blazing Red 7’s
  • Diamond Payout
  • Jackpot Cash
  • Multiplier Max Out
  • Pot O Gold
  • VIP Black

All of the games offer free-to-play demos online through the NHLottery.com website.

New Hampshire Lottery Executive Director Charlie McIntyre says the new iLottery program is all about giving the people what they want:

“We have long viewed ourselves as a player-centric lottery. Our focus in everything we do is how best to make our products entertaining and accessible to our customers by creating a strong and positive play experience. Launching iLottery is the critical next wave component in enhancing our players direct interaction with our games.”

Additionally, McIntyre believes NeoPollard Interactive is the right firm for the job:

“We wanted to get it right and believe our choice of NeoPollard Interactive would best ensure a successful rollout and early adoption of the online lottery experience. NPi’s domestic and international experience in this space has demonstrated critical best practice technology and created an enhanced player experience in that online space.”

NeoPollard Interactive also works with the state lotteries in Michigan and Virginia. However, Virginia only permits online subscription purchases for select draw games.

Lottery proceeds support education

New Hampshire has had a state lottery since 1964 and proceeds are used to support education. Moreover, the New Hampshire Lottery has poured close to $2 billion into New Hampshire schools since it launched.

Additionally, the New Hampshire Lottery set an all-time sales record during Fiscal 2018. Total lottery sales reached more than $331.8 million. The record profit of $86.5 million generated throughout the year also went to support education in the state.
