A $4 wager on Quantum Crown MegaJackpots turned into a $1,034,194 jackpot for a Borgata Online customer on Sept. 29. The BetMGM-operated brand highlighted the win while pointing to increased player engagement since its July relaunch in New Jersey online casino and Pennsylvania online casino markets.
Since the relaunch, average daily active players have increased 28% compared to the brand’s February pre-launch benchmark. BetMGM attributes the growth to investments in exclusive games, enhanced rewards and expanded gaming features.
Small wager produces million-dollar jackpot
The jackpot represents a substantial payout from a relatively small wager, although BetMGM did not identify the winning player or disclose which state hosted the winning spin.
Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM’s senior vice president of gaming, celebrated the result and connected it to the casino’s recent improvements.
“Moments like this are exactly why players choose Borgata Online! It’s an incredible win,” Bartlett said.
He added that since the July relaunch, the company has focused on delivering more value through exclusive content, enhanced rewards and bigger jackpot opportunities.
The jackpot also comes amid strong financial results for BetMGM Casino. The operator reported $710 million in third-quarter net revenue, up 7% year over year, while adjusted EBITDA more than doubled to $86 million, a 112% increase.
Online casino gaming remained the company’s largest revenue contributor, generating $483 million, up 6% from the same quarter in 2025. According to BetMGM’s Q3 financials, the segment accounted for approximately two-thirds of BetMGM’s total third-quarter revenue.
Exclusive online casino games strengthen Borgata’s offering
Borgata Online officially relaunched on July 3, introducing a redesigned experience for customers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The overhaul included improved navigation, enhanced account management features and a consolidated Rewards Hub.
Through the hub, customers can access promotions, monitor Borgata Rewards Points and review their MGM Rewards tier status. The platform offers:
- More than 4,500 online slots, including 500 jackpot titles
- 200 table games
- 70 live dealer offerings
- 90 new game releases
Among the additions is Awager Live Slots, which allows customers to operate physical slot machines remotely through live video streams. The feature connects online players with real machines housed in regulated studio environments, bringing a land-based casino experience to digital platforms.
Borgata has also expanded its exclusive content, introducing The Traitors Faithful Riches in September. Its branded collection includes 12 slot and table games, such as Borgata 777 Respin, Borgata Free Wheel and Borgata Slingo. Additional titles, including Borgata Gem Strike and Borgata 777 Respin Deluxe, are planned for release later in 2026.
Borgata marks New Jersey gaming milestone
The latest jackpot also coincides with an important anniversary in Borgata’s involvement in regulated online gaming. On Oct. 9, 2013, Borgata received New Jersey’s first internet gaming permit from the state’s Division of Gaming Enforcement, helping pioneer regulated online casino gaming in the United States.
Since 2015, Borgata has contributed more than $250 million in tax revenue to New Jersey, according to BetMGM.
The operator also offers responsible gambling resources, including GameSense, an industry-leading program developed and licensed to MGM by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. Integrated into BetMGM’s mobile and desktop platforms, GameSense provides information and tools intended to help customers make informed gambling decisions. The program complements the operator’s existing responsible gambling resources.
The September jackpot adds to Borgata Online’s momentum following its July relaunch, as the brand continues expanding its game catalogue, rewards and digital features in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
