Parx Casino reached a milestone this week with the opening of the Parxview Hotel, marking the first time guests can stay overnight on the casino’s grounds. A ribbon-cutting ceremony formalized the debut of the 160-room, smoke-free facility.
The addition fills a long-standing gap for the property. While Parx is consistently one of Pennsylvania’s top-earning casinos, it previously lacked the on-site lodging offered by many of its regional competitors.
Strategic growth for Pennsylvania’s casino revenue leader
Parx generated $573.9 million in slots and table games revenue in 2025, the highest in the state. Despite its financial dominance, the lack of a hotel was a notable omission compared to Philadelphia-market rivals who use lodging to drive weekend traffic and increase guest spending.
The Parxview Hotel aims to change that dynamic. The facility offers four room categories, including 16 suites, featuring modern design and upscale amenities such as:
- A fitness center
- A seasonal outdoor pool deck
- Complimentary parking
- Shuttle service to the casino floor
Eric Hausler, CEO of Parx Casino, described the opening as a transition for the property. “It marks a shift from being a place people visit to one where they stay,” Hausler said. He noted that guests can now move between gaming, dining, and live entertainment without leaving the campus.
Parx experience: Modern rooms and seamless casino access
Alongside the hotel, the casino introduced Bistro at Parxview Hotel, a casual-upscale restaurant and lounge. The restaurant joins a massive entertainment complex that includes:
- 180,000 square feet of gaming space
- Thousands of slot machines and table games
- A poker room and retail sportsbook
- The Xcite Center, which hosts regular live entertainment
A new player in the regional hospitality market
Located roughly 20 minutes from Center City Philadelphia, Parxview Hotel is designed to attract visitors from New York, New Jersey, and beyond. By converting day-trippers into overnight guests, Parx aims to increase “time on device” and spending across its food and beverage departments.
Paul Bencivengo, president and CEO of Visit Bucks County, said the hotel adds a high-end option to the county’s hospitality inventory. “Its presence will attract more travelers to the area while supporting local employment,” Bencivengo said in a news post by PlayPennsylvania.
A new chapter in the Philadelphia casino race
With the hotel’s launch, Parx joins a growing list of southeastern Pennsylvania casinos with on-site lodging, including Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia and Valley Forge Casino Resort. Rivers Casino Philadelphia also expanded its footprint with a 62-room luxury hotel in late 2023.
Other state properties, such as Wind Creek Bethlehem, Mount Airy Casino, and Mohegan Pennsylvania, have long utilized on-site hotels to anchor their business models.
Parx has spent decades building a following in the Philadelphia metro area. The launch of Parxview Hotel represents the property’s next chapter—an integrated experience designed to turn a leading gambling destination into a full-scale regional resort.
