The era of standalone PokerStars operations in the United States has officially come to an end. As of April 1, 2026, Flutter Entertainment successfully migrated its poker players in MichiganNew Jersey, and Pennsylvania to the new unified platform: “PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel.”

The transition marks the largest consolidation in the history of regulated US online poker, creating a massive shared-liquidity network that allows players from all three states to compete in the same pool for the first time.

A unified market: PA joins the prize pool

While Michigan and New Jersey have shared players for years, the headline of this launch is the inclusion of Pennsylvania. Despite joining the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) in 2025, Pennsylvania online poker players remained isolated until this week’s migration.

With the three-state merger now complete, the network has become the largest regulated online poker hub in North America. This “tri-state” liquidity has immediately impacted the lobby, with significantly higher traffic in cash games and record-breaking registrations for the upcoming tournament schedule.

Bigger guarantees and the “Sunday Million”

To celebrate the successful rollout, FanDuel has significantly boosted its tournament offerings. The network confirmed it will host two $500,000-guaranteed Sunday Million tournaments later this month. These prize pools are a direct result of the combined player base, as a $1 million total guarantee across two events was previously unattainable in fragmented markets.

Additionally, the $150,000-guaranteed “No Sweat” series is currently underway, serving as a welcome promotion for players navigating the new software.

What players need to know today

If you are logging in this weekend, here is the current status of your account and funds:

  • Platform Access: The old PokerStars apps are no longer functional for real-money play. You must download the new PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel app or use the updated desktop client.
  • Account Credentials: You now log in using your FanDuel account. If you did not have one previously, you must create one to access the poker lobby.
  • Fund Migration: * Michigan Players: You have until April 30 to log into the legacy system one last time to review history and manually withdraw. After that, any remaining balances will be mailed as checks.
    • New Jersey/Pennsylvania: Most balances have been transferred or are available for withdrawal via the new FanDuel wallet.
  • Unified Wallet: One major perk of the new system is the single wallet. Your poker bankroll is now shared with the FanDuel Sportsbook and Casino, allowing for seamless movement of funds between products.

Looking ahead to Ontario

With the US migration finalized, Flutter Entertainment has its sights set on the north. A similar integration for PokerStars Ontario is scheduled for later in 2026, bringing the Canadian market under the same FanDuel-branded umbrella.

For now, US online poker players are adjusting to a new interface that includes a built-in heads-up display (HUD) and a more modern aesthetic. While the “classic” PokerStars client is gone, the increased player volume and larger prizes suggest a bright future for the brand’s new home on FanDuel.
