Premiering this fall, Sports & Social DraftKings blends together a bar, restaurant, sportsbook and entertainment venue. It is a joint venture between Cordish Companies’ Live! Hospitality & Entertainment and DraftKings.
Though Cordish’s standalone Sports & Social venues have been sprouting through the country over the last few years, this is the first partnership location. It’s also the first time DraftKings has branched into the realm of food and beverage.
What to expect at Sports & Social DraftKings
The site is set to open at Somerset Collection, a Michigan luxury shopping destination located within the Troy area of Metro Detroit, which is approximately 20 miles away from downtown.
Visitors will be able to enjoy “made-from-scratch” favorites and an extensive drink selection, including curated cocktails, specialty drinks, a variety of beers from local favorites to national brews, as well the venue’s signature Crush selection. The place also offers a menu featuring special food and beverage-focused events throughout the week.
There is a brunch experience on Saturdays and Sundays with the venue’s popular #brunchtails table drinks and menu favorites such as Chicken & Bliss, avocado toast and savory breakfast skillets.
The 10,400 square-foot space will include an exclusive DraftKings Lounge that can be utilized for private parties and events and a dog-friendly outdoor patio.
The place will also feature live music and entertainment multiple days a week, and a selection of interactive social games, like skeeball, hoops, Beirut, foosball, shufflepuck and arcade games.
Sports & Social DraftKings comes with a premier viewing and sports betting experience with its 32-foot LED media wall and gameday watch parties.
While watching games live, visitors can access DraftKings’ mobile platforms to play daily fantasy sports and place bets from their phones across several sports, like football, basketball, baseball, golf, MMA, soccer, tennis and more.

Could more Sports & Social DraftKings locations be on the way?
The timing for the venue opening couldn’t be better, as it’s just in time for NFL season betting.
Plus, the Michigan location seems like an excellent choice as it is one of the US biggest markets in terms of revenue, right after New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
DraftKings has already been laying a blueprint for high-energy, first-class sports betting and entertainment venues. Now, it’s the first time the operator has branched into food and beverage, as the company has only done sports betting lounges so far. Additional locations of Sports & Social DraftKings are expected to be announced in the coming months.

DraftKings sportsbook is live in 18 states through online and retail sportsbooks, with several additional new markets on the horizon.
