Jackpot City Casino might have a swagger-laden name, but the company doesn’t mind staying under the radar.
Jackpot City launched in Pennsylvania in December and then completed a low-profile launch in March in New Jersey through its partner, Golden Nugget. Chris Canas, a spokesperson for Jackpot City’s licensing operator, Digital Gaming Corp., told PlayUSA the Garden State is essential to its US online casino strategy:
“New Jersey is a core state in our US casino strategy. We know players in the state have many online casinos to choose from, and our goal for Jackpot City Casino is to become their casino of choice through a rewarding and entertaining experience.”
Key takeaways
- Jackpot City launched in the PA online casino market in December, then in New Jersey in March.
- iGaming library includes games from high-profile studios such as Light & Wonder and IGT.
- The online casino has generated around $141,000 in revenue in its first two months.
Jackpot City offers titles from leading game studios
An ever-growing list of online slots that keep players interested is key for online casinos wanting to keep their customers and lure new customers away from competitors. Jackpot City’s library of gaming titles in New Jersey and Pennsylvania offers games from top names such as Light & Wonder, IGT, and Evolution, Canas said. Other partners include:
- Games Global
- Netent
- Ezugi
- Oddsworks
Canas said Jackpot City plans to release new games each week. The online casino’s titles include video poker, table games and live dealer games.
“Jackpot City Casino provides players with an exciting experience and a new adventure each time they log in,” Canas said. “We also provide players with daily rewards and several promotions throughout the week. We’re building an experience that feels like an adventure and want the customers to feel that excitement as well.”
Jackpot City is part of the Golden Nugget team
New Jersey gaming regulations allow land-based casinos to offer “skins” (online gaming licenses) to multiple companies. Jackpot City operates in NJ via a license from Golden Nugget. The Atlantic City-based casino has five online casinos under its umbrella:
- Jackpot City
- Golden Nugget Casino
- FanDuel
- BetRivers
- Betway
Since it launched in March, Jackpot City has generated $141,255 in total revenue, according to the gross gaming revenue report from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. That figure should steadily increase through December, although it’s hard to tell exactly how much revenue Jackpot City makes when it reaches maturity.
Here’s a snapshot of how Golden Nugget’s online casinos performed according to NJ’s April 2024 revenue report:
- FanDuel: $39.1 million
- BetRivers: $6.9 million
- Golden Nugget Online: $6.7 million
- Betway: $429,175
Bringing in more than a million dollars per month is likely not in Jackpot City’s immediate future. The more realistic goal would be to approach and surpass Betway’s revenue.
