BetMGM has launched a new online casino title built around NASCAR team branding, advancing the operator’s effort to integrate its casino and sports betting offerings.
The company announced that the game, BetMGM Speedway, debuted Feb. 12 and is currently available on BetMGM Casino in Michigan, and on BetMGM Casino and Borgata Online in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Developed alongside Richard Childress Racing (RCR), its partner since 2021, the release arrives during the peak of the NASCAR season.
High-velocity gameplay: RTP, volatility, and payouts
Unlike traditional online slots, BetMGM Speedway is a “fast game” featuring short rounds that function like rapid betting contests rather than classic reel spins. Players can back RCR’s two most iconic Cup Series entries: the No. 8 and No. 3 cars, driven by Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon, respectively.
The title offers a 94% RTP (return to player) and a high-volatility rating, with a maximum payout of 10,000 times the total bet. To cater to both sports bettors and online casino players, the game allows users to control the pace through autoplay and auto-cashout features.
Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s chief revenue officer, noted the goal was to translate the split-second decision-making of racing into a digital casino format.
The Earnhardt legacy: Why RCR branding matters
The collaboration leans heavily into RCR’s visual identity. While the drivers do not appear in-game, Mike Verlander, president of Richard Childress Racing, said the experience features “authentic team elements” designed to be instantly recognizable to fans.
This partnership leverages the deep history of RCR, which was founded in 1969 and holds six NASCAR Cup Series titles with Dale Earnhardt. By tying the game to two legendary car numbers, BetMGM and RCR are betting that racing heritage will drive engagement in the three states where the game is currently live:
- Michigan: BetMGM Casino
- New Jersey & Pennsylvania: BetMGM Casino and Borgata Online
Speedway’s integrated responsible gaming tools
Alongside the launch, BetMGM reiterated its focus on safe gaming through GameSense, a program developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corp. and licensed to MGM Resorts. The operator confirmed that these responsible gambling tools are integrated directly into the mobile and desktop versions of the Speedway title.
